My mate had a mint red series V. I never understood the talk of "smooth rotary engines" until I drove it! Even though it had had a fair bit of attention from rotomotion, it was turbine smooth, handled beautifully and the Blitz blowoff valve made the most satisfying sound out of any I'd ever heard. Fantastic cars!
That's one little slick car Johnny,I've always admired that sporty compact look about them & to be driving one in Japan around that beautiful mountain side & through tunnels I have to admit I am a bit jealous mate lol,ok take care man you crushed it once again cheers.
My favorite car of all time FC S5, i was obsessed as a teenager about them. Im a Ford man but these have a special place in my heart reserved, if im ever lucky enough to own. Everything about them is just sex on a stick to me. Dream car!
Nah the inlet is in the centre of the bonnet but there is a shroud under the bonnet that funnels the air to the stock intercooler position which is offset.
My first experience with a rotary was a white FC RX7 with a huge single turbo, along with a Microtech ECU running it. The power was immense but almost un-useable. The owner claimed he'd spent 19k AUD on the engine alone. (19k probably isn't that much for a rotary too)
Man I got one of these with 360rwkw. It’s scary. Such a tin can. Sounds wicked on gate though.I hardly get to drive it as I’m still perfecting the clutch system so I can drive it with paraplegia. Hopefully I’ll get it going a put a vid up soon.

Never getting rid of mine 🔥
Good to hear mate
Ryosuke would be proud.

I had a FB RX7 in the 90's and I miss it daily. My wife is from Japan, I would love to get over there for 6 weeks and play around like you have.
Was a great trip I might have to go back for even longer next time was getting used to it there lol

@@RossReviewsau Oh... You should do a little recount on your experiences in Japan on the second channel...
Great video and great content but you have to rev it to the buzzer 🤣
I took it to 7k.. was afraid of breaking it 🤣
@@RossReviewsau Rotaries break if you don't rev em !

Awesome to hear man
Isn't Ryosuke FC licence plate look like this?
13-137
What was the rough cost to hire all these cars ?
About $300 👀🥲
Mr Hiro.... doesn't that mean "To Hire" not "Mr Hero"....please tell me if I'm wrong. I'm only guessing. Loved the review Johnny 👍👍
i just curious for one thing...is it true that the Air Scoop positio on the Hood / Bonnet of RX7 FC is not centered-align?
i think from memory it is slightly off center

Now that’s what I wana see!
19k in building a strong engine, or 19k maintaining it? 😭
Ryosuke Takahashi would probably be proud
🫡👏
I wonder if Mazda RX7 FC are available in the U.S.
