Hi thanks for breaking down the grammar particles and giving extra examples using them!! When you say ''don't just work'' အလုပ်တွေပဲ လုပ် မနေနဲ့ why do you say မနေနဲ့ and not မလုပ်နဲ့?

Hi Lauren, Thank you for asking.
so here, I realize translation should better be "Don't just keep doing work" because "လုပ်နေ" means "doing" while "လုပ်" means "do".
လုပ်တယ် - do
မလုပ်နဲ့ - don't do
လုပ်နေတယ် - doing
လုပ်မနေနဲ့ - don't keep doing
We even say, မလုပ်နေနဲ့ - which would mean the same.
Hope this clarifies.
Sometimes, it's hard to translate some usages directly to English.
In a different context, လုပ်မနေနဲ့ can mean Don't do (before you have even started doing).
So these expressions can be confusing for a beginner.
They will become natural to us after we have heard them many times.

Hello, I am not so sure what you mean. But I think you are asking about the difference in spelling and pronunciation. Actually "Burma" comes from "ဗမာပြည်" which is the old name of Myanmar now spelled as "မြန်မာ". However, for မြန်မာစာ which is Myanmar language, you can either call it Myanmar or Burmese. I personally prefer calling it Burmese.
