I think that data analysts and data engineers are able to work together in the same workspace, this is in Microsoft Fabric, using separate tools and having different tasks, so both should go for the fabric certification, power-bi certification is more for data analysts.
Well, learning new skills is always a good thing, but in this case with DP 600 which is somewhat mix between data engineer and data analyst doesn´t make much sense to me. It would be better to keep the roles separated. Also as I look at things and how often some certs tend to "expire" I am quite hesitating whether is it so to say "worth it" to pursue some certs. of course you are doing it because of the knowledge that you gain from the learning because of the cert, but you got my point. You want to have some sort of "reward" in the end and in this case, it is that deserved badge that you can proudly show off.

Where did you buy it from? I would check if it's actually a "Generic Associate/Expert" level exam voucher that you could apply to DP-600 .. or if you directly scheduled exam you might be able to cancel with 100% refund!

I've purchased DP-500 but thought to prepare it in Q3 2024 - surprise! Is it possible to change DP-500 for DP-600 with extra pay?
