Thanks Jeppe, this is very helpful.
I used to store the email templates in assets to avoid touching the package in case of any modifications. Next time, I will try Storage Buckets for such scenarios.

Hello, good video, I have a question though:
what kind of expression do you need to write in "filter" property of "List storage files" activity if you want for example only the files which start from letter "c" to letter "s"?

Hi Jeppe. Great tutorial! Just one thiing that I can´t figure out: What is the concept of usieng The From-Path filepath used in Upload and Downlod? When did a similar path as C:\users\jeppe\desktop\Bucketfiles\ i get a error message - Acess to C:\users..... is denied. How come? Where do I copy that path from?

Awsome job , can you make video which teaches us about Robot(uipath asistant) indetail
1.after designing a BOT In studio how to deploy and execute in another system
    2. How uipath ROBOT and Orchestrator play this game
    3. A simple BOT to copy some data from another system/systems and store into SQL or any other source.

Hi Venkat. These questions cover a lot of areas, and in time I'm sure I will cover them all. I have made a video about Assistant and connecting to Orchestrator, you can watch that here: th-cam.com/video/k82_e8t-BOQ/w-d-xo.html

Oh, nice! I have a use case and was thinking of using assets or config file but Storage Buckets might be better especially if I want to make some changes to the data in the file in the Storage Bucket. I can download the file, and re-upload it after changing it. Thanks a bunch.

Hi Ken, I got a notification that you commented on the Linked Assets video, but I cannot get to the comment. I have seen comments be blocked (for no apparent reason) by youtube, so maybe try posting it again with slightly different wording, or find me on LinkedIn and send it to me there. Cheers.

Jeppe nice explanation I loved the explanation thanks a lot for sharing knowledge, I have a question let's say if I wanna store my config files what would u prefer ??

I would say a folder on a network share that the robot server/machines can access. This makes it easy to make on-the-go modifications to the configurations, should you need to.

Thanks Jeppe, this is very helpful. Can you tell me the differences between Storage Options: - Read Only
    - Audit Read Access
    - Access data through Orchestrator
Thanks and have a nice day

I can't. These options are more or less undocumented, and I haven't found a use or need for them yet. Sorry.

I'm only 6 months in with UiPath development (prior to that I have worked a few years with BP and AA) and love your explanations. I'm not sure if the version of UiPath I'm in has this feature, it's in my bucket list to upgrade the software, but I'm a bit fearful of screwing the infra up (I'm the entire RPA team, from infra, to development to support). Just subscribed.

Hi Juan, and thanks for the kind words. As far as I know, all versions of Orchestrator have the Storage Buckets feature, regardless of license type.

@@UiPathwithJeppe will make sure to check it out, cheers! I can remember countless horror scenarios derived of using file shares for storing a simple/small file and this totally solves the problem.

Can I upload files with different extensions like .dll , sql, .db , ..etc at once!! and then read them all from storage buckets !!!!!

  • @jz9859

Would you please also show us how to configure storage bucket? I am getting "could not connect to the server(#101)" error while uploading file to a storage bucket (orchestrator as the provider). Thank you!

Your mouse clicks sound weird. I'm assuming it's because of noise removal.
