Sadly, St Helens was ruined by irresponsible genetic experiments by Pilkington Glass in the 1980s. It was thought that the inclusion of three extra chromosomes would increase productivity as well as encourage docility, but all the subjects turned into Scousers, and most businesses had to shut down or move overseas.
Similar to numerous locations in England and Wales. Totally ignored and left to rot.

This could be anywhere now. Even on South coast.
And most probably run by incompetent councillors - in this case Burns, Baines and Gomez etc

Why my dad wanted to leave St Helen's , Haydock emigrate Perth Australia for a better life for his wife and kids in May 1969..
Haydock is fuelled by beer and cocaine these days, and there’s now loads of Chinese people there for some reason.
