Watching this right after watching the movie! So happy to find this.. especially with the VHS type quality. The distortion on the bottom of the screen brought back so much nostalgia
My brother, who was born with permanent brain damage and grandmal epilepsy, had only a few movies he will watch over and over again. This movie is one of them.
Sorry to hear about your brother's condition. But I must say this is a great pick. This movie is one I enjoy so much, I'd actually enjoy watching this over and over.
I am sorry to hear about your brother he couldn't have picked a better movie. I remember going to the drive-in and seeing this movie when it came out with my parents. GOD Bless your brother.
I remember when I was about 3 years old my step dad but he isnlike my real dad was watching this movie I noticed the part where the lightning was be struck near jo and her parents home it was in the beginning of the movie. I was so fascinated with the beginning. And I sat down and watch the movie even when I saw her dad get sucked up I was not scared I was just so fascinated by it. And than half way threw the movie when Jo, Bill, and Melissa get spinned around in the water spouts my mom comes home from grocery shopping and she looks at my dad and says is she seriously watching this movie ? My dad was like yup she's been giggling threw everything. My mom was so worried I was gonna get nightmares but I never did. The next morning I was like mommy I want to watch tornadoes 🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪 again. And my dad was like honey its Twister but ok. And my mom was like well it least she's not scared to watch the movie. But I absolutely will always love this movie. 1 of my favorite parts in the film is when Jo says to the lady's at consesion stand when she says GET UNDER GROUND TAKE COVER RIGHT NOW GO. And the ladys do run.
I was born in the early 70’s. Growing up watching Helen Hunt I really admired her. Smart, beautiful, vulnerable, strong… from Touchdown Princess, to After School Specials, I looked up to her. Still do! ❤️🌺
So many memories from this movie has a kid, from watching it a million times on vhs, to riding around with my cousins in their battery powered jeep and pretending tornadoes were chasing us.
This movie was awesome. As a teenager, me and my brother used to watch the VHS of this movie all the time. Thanks to the advent of TH-cam, you can really get to know storm chasers and watch them chase these forces of unstoppable nature, in real time.
i love how if you go to any storm chaser video, almost every comment section will have an obligatory nod to Twister with some comment from the movie like "Jonas, you son'ofa bitch."
Hard to believe this is almost 30 years old! It fueled my interest in chasing 🌪️ at the age of 21. Can quote this movie front to back. Loved every minute of it!
Around 16 minutes when it showed how they did that final scene where Jo and Bill were in the eye of the F5, I nearly came off the couch with excitement. This whole video was fascinating. I love behind the scenes and the making of movie videos, especially when it's one of my favorite movies! Thanks for uploading!
Due to her very practical nature (being a therapist) I’m sure that’s exactly why she was so intrigued. Like , why do these people run TOWARDS the danger? And she can’t help herself being just as intrigued.
God the nostalgia I feel with this film. Was the first major blockbuster I saw in theatre's. Saw it with my dad when I was 10. I remember the big poster like it was yesterday. I have a deep love for 90s movies and 90s movie stars. The best ever era for film imo
I have Twister on DVD 📀!! It's an incredible movie!! We saw Twisters the sequel to Twister!! It was another amazing movie!! I'm definitely getting Twisters on 📀!!
One of my favorite movies, Idiots like to blast it because it's not fully realistic but that's what made it so great. You can't make a movie people will line up for just gazing at a twisters from a few miles away, safe as it is it just wouldn't work. One of the last great hoorah's from a dying Hollywood.
I was living in Enid, OK when this movie was made. I was in pilot training at Vance AFB. Many of the people that lived in my apartment were hired to be extras on the set. It was an exciting time and good memories. Rest in peace Bill.
If the dad at the beginning just stepped back away from the door he would have been fine. Right after he gets sucked up the mom and daughter get close to the door and Are fine
Lost count how many time I watched this movie since it has come out. Older brother, myself and 1 younger brother went and saw it in the movie theater during the afternoon time in Fairmont, MN when this movie came out. Walked out of the theater and the sirens were going off. Tornado touched down just north of town out in a field. Couldnt write a better script.
I really love watching this movie..because of the actor and actress that played the part Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton....and the rest of the cast .may God bless Bill Paxton 🙏
I wish they’d do a believable hurricane film about one of Floridas worst atrocities that Mother Nature has unleashed on the state. Irma…Ian…Or 2004…3 storms hitting their mark.
The ride freaked me out more then the movie when I first rode it as a very little kid they could literally do so much now if Universal Studios Orlando makes a new ride for the new sequel
This is "ONE" of my favorite movies! Knowing Steven Spielberg was part of it; it's even better! (Hard to put into words), Bill Paxton was taken way too soon. He was my age. Why?
50-year tornado storm---is coming in that movie. The convective parameters are there for an F5 (now called EF5) tornado. Maybe 2 or 3! 6,000 joules of convective energy, kinematic index up to 40, total totals index to 65, and the showalter index - as low as a -9. Add a Bulk Richardson Number to over 150, bulk shear to 80-85 knots, storm-relative helicity to 450-500 m2/s2, and a Energy-Helicity Index to as high as 2.5---this is going to be ripe conditions for United States' massive tornado outbreak of the century in that flick!
When Melissa Asked "None of you Has seen an F5?" In reality, EF-5 Tornadoes are the most Destructive Tornadoes on the planet. but still, this Movie was awesome
Loved this movie so much too. I watched it for awhile.. I watched it from the time it was released up until 2015, I used to watch it a lot to fill long boring hours during childhood because I didn't like the heat of Florida.. I spent many hours rewatching it until the VHS tape was caught in the VCR.. I watched it quite a few more times on DVD, watched it in English,French and Spanish.. watched the commentaries and I watched various videos on things I didn't know. What I enjoyed most was it was my first movie on Tornadoes, I used to be into it but as time went on, I eventually realized that I would NEVER be as brave as anyone who chases tornadoes. Now that I see a new movie is being made.. the trailer itself didn't really catch my attention.. I think I'll wait and watch it when it pops onto streaming
I cant believe all these years later to see this! One of my favorite movies! Now we have these tornadoes allllll the time most recently with some amazing footage. I wonder if they’ll use any real footage in the new movie
This movie is # 1 on my list of all time. We always watch it if it is on a cable station. A remake sounds awesome but sadly it won't be near as great as the original movie Twister. All the characters in this film is what made the movie. Their chemistry with each other was pleasing to watch.
I remember seeing this incredible movie in Everett Washington at the movies with my dad when he came to visit me and then I got into watching this movie more and I love thunderstorms and rain and I love going outside in Arizona where I live now with my Family and my Godchildren and I record the thunderstorms on my cell phone but yes these storms are Dangerous and seeing Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt ok this movie together was so awesome and I miss seeing Bill Paxton he was such incredible Actor and Philip Seymour RIP Guys I hope your chasing storms in Heaven
for real I almost duked in my bed when I saw her name in the credits of such a great film (a yearly watch for me), after seeing how she massacred Star Wars.
Twister, one of the only movies with the best tornado VFX ever. The other movie being The Wizard of Oz. Which they did practically. I fear that i might be disappointed with the second movie thats coming out soon which is Twisters. That movie looks purely CGI. Unlike twister and the wizard of oz.
RIP Bill Paxton and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Two fucking greats!
Yes they were for sure. I wish both of them were still here. But I know they are giving people entertainment were they are at.
Twister's opening scene scared me as a child and yet absolutely excellent
It's still something I feel scared watching it even today.
It did for me as well. Born 1990
Same, glad I am not the only one
Damn, I miss the 90's
I agree with your statement 💯 percent
Same!
Watching this right after watching the movie! So happy to find this.. especially with the VHS type quality. The distortion on the bottom of the screen brought back so much nostalgia
Loved how they personified the tornadoes. The tornados literally growl as they get closer and closer
That’s what they do in real life
@@hayleydollxno, they actually don’t.
Rest in peace Bill Paxton😢.

Me and my brother always watched this movie on Saturday nights in 1996 and fried fries that we cut up before watching. Great memories.

I was 8 years old when Moore ,Oklahoma got hit by ef5 tornado killed 24 people and so many people were injured. Both of this movies were cool.
I just adore this movie. This was also Dodge debuting its newly redesigned Ram.
Program-length commercial for the Gen.2 Dodge! 😝

People call this movie a "guilty pleasure". Are you kidding me? "Twister" is a 90s action masterpiece!
Yes, it was a smash hit in theaters -- #2 of 1996, after _Independence Day._
Can't believe they created such a great movie with limited resources
And this movies graphics aged pretty amazing compared to these new movies with the same concepts
It's called being _resourceful._
The part where the cows were flying was filmed on kaw lake near my town home I sometimes miss home
Rip bill
If Bill Paxton played "Bill", why didn't Helen Hunt play "Helen"? lol
One syllable names are easier and sound better in action movies
@@willb.383 Why didn't Helen Hunt play "Hel"?
Well bill is short for William
So bill was William Paxton
