When in the city of Manila, go to the following: 1. National Museums (Allot at least a day to visit these museums, you will almost visit the whole Philippines going here.) 1.1 National Museum of Fine Arts 1.2 National Museum of Natural History 1.3 Museum of Anthropology 2. Rizal Park 3. Intramuros 4. Binondo (oldest China Town) 5. SM MOA, sunset at the bay
In Manila, visit Intramuros and BGC. The long ones on the road are called jeepneys. You just hail one when you see them. They go along very specific routes and can be confusing for tourists. The small ones are tricycles; they’re used for shorter-distance travels (just within the area). You can also take MRT-3, LRT-2, and LRT-1 to go around Metro Manila. Globe is pretty reliable nationwide. They also have an extensive 5G network. For the must-visit islands, you may go to Coron and El Nido in Palawan, Boracay, Cebu, Siargao, and Bohol. Enjoy your stay in PH! 😊
Makati is the most place that i wanna stay specially also BGC one of the popular tourist spot. New Subscriber here from Canada welcome to the Philippines.

those Pork Steam Buns (called Siopao in Filipino & Char Siu Bao in Hokkien Chinese) you pointed out are called "Bola Bola" which means balls like meat balls & "Asado" which means shredded pork meat inside the bun. when you add the word, "PO" to a sentence, it is a sign of respect, example: Thank you, you say " Salamat PO". How are you, : Kamusta "PO" Kayo = How are you. ( in Spanish: Como esta ).
The best way to travel is to NOT have expectations and let the experience take over you. Explore and be bold, be curious but careful and mix with the locals. Locals always knows the best places to visit and eat from. In the case you may not have an itinerary, let the moment take you. just be nice and respectful to the locals and they will always treat you just as well if not better. Happy travels and may good weather be with you both always!

When you cross the street use the power or your hands. Stop them by waving your hand to stop while they are far away that's the Filipinos do. But make sure they notice you before crossing because the accident happens when they are looking at the back side mirror or something.
You're on the dirty side of Makati. Every city has that. The transpo vehicles are called 'Jeepney' and ' Tricycle'. You just wave at them to have a ride. The jeepney has placards on front and sides to show where their route are. The tricycle usually offer short rides.

Bola-Bola = literally "ball ball," in this case it just means the filling is a meatball. Think of a cheap version of a shizitou (but like...really knead it), and since it was steamed with a bun around it and it's not in a bed of cabbage and juices, it's kinda dry, so you really need the bao sauce. On the upside, sometimes the meatball is wrapped around salted duck egg and lapcheaong like a weird version of Scotch egg, so there's gonna be a texture and flavor contrast. Depending on where I'm buying it I tend to get this over the "asado" (charsiu) because of the lapcheong and egg (cheaper ones won't have these). Also, like the ramen topping, in the Philippines this particular "charsiu" is actually braised and not actually roasted, and is also served as its own dish (t obe eaten with rice or lettuce/cabbage) distinct from charsiu. My guess as to why there's the mistranslation? Both nations probably encountered the dish first as a bao filling, the sauce and the shredding obscured the telltale signs of dry heat cooking initially, etc. The Japanese recreated it by cooking it like one thing they already have (kakuni), but it's shoulder or rolled belly. In the Philippines very likely those making the baos just didn't bother with roasting the pork anymore and that's what trickled down to be cooked on its own and eaten with rice and leaves instead of a bun, by which point it's called "asado," eventually the Americans took over and nobody questioned it, and they don't even wonder why a braised dish is called "roasted" nor make the connection when they get actual charsiu hanging on a window next to a "pato asado" or as most people know it, "Beijing Duck." Oh and uh...in the Philippines they're all called "siopao," ie from "charsiu bao," regardless of filling, then the filling comes after (more similar to Spanish grammar).
are you from Japan?you look like japanese. Manila is chaotic specially the traffic and very crowded place.
