We just bought a 2021 Mazda CX-5 Grand touring AWD for me. Now my hubby is obsessed with it lol. He has had huge pickups for over 25 years. Now he is looking at the CX-50 and CX-90 ... I don't think he will trade his in. BUT that is how much he loves to drive it !!

I'm from Chile and I have a question that maybe you can answer for me or at least help me answer, I'm thinking of buying a Cx-30 with a manual transmission soon, those are still sold here in my country, but the thing is that I still don't have enough money to buy the car, so I would like to know how long Mazda Japan will produce the Cx-30 with manual transmission to be sell abroad. I know that in Mexico and Colombia the Cx-30s are now only automatic, could you enlighten me a little? I asked Mazda Chile and they didn't even respond. Thank you very much in advance!
i have a cx90 and thinking about this car. only negative ive had is on the door panels, the sun melts the panels, i have had to fix it twice until figuring out it was the sun.
Wish you could have done a quick test drive to comment more on the suspension and steering tweaks.? and at 24MPG city, 30HGWY fuel economy is fair at best, lower then competitors
The Outback onyx has about the same HP & acceleration and is rated better because a a more modern interior with bigger touchscreen ( not controlled by a fussy dial. The CVT doesn’t impede the acceleration since a similar non turbo Mazda takes nearly 9 seconds to 60!
these beefy tires looks far better than the other 20"ish wheels which don't fit this offroad-concept in any ways, despite this vehicle's capabilities which we already know they won't be awesome nor created for heavy off roading. this is the model to go.
Went to a dealership to check out the CX-50 and came away disappointed. Beautiful car. It would have been a plus if built in Japan like the CX-5, but what shocked me was the engine is from Mexico. Why? The transmission is from Japan at least, but why not the engine? The upper part of the door card was hard plastic even for the front doors, and the back seat bench can be lifted up as pointed out by another youtuber. The biggest disappointment was the engine not being from Japan, and this is a deal breaker. The Honda CR-V is not assembled in Japan, but at least the transmission AND engine are.
I hope the CX-50 hybrid comes out soon. I'd also love to see a CX-30 hybrid more since that size fits more with my needs and I think Mazda could easily start making the CX-30 hybrid in Alabama. Even more exciting would be a Spirit Racing CX-30, real fun like the Hyundai Kona N
I like the base model without the sunroof.. No turbo means no annoying i stop.. Whats not so good is its not built in Japan & cylinder deactivation isn’t needed in a 4cyl.. I want engine longevity..
The one thing that frustrates me about most of Mazda's SUVs is that they don't have black headliners except for the top CX-5 and CX-90 trims. The greige headliner is just super tacky.
Hey Jonathan continue the good work I love the face look of the mazda cx50 but not the back look I think mazda should give the cx50 back looking like the cx5 with a independent rear suspension instead of a torsion beam.
They should make the next generation of CX 50 more near a luxury look and make it look less rugged if they’re trying to move upmarket like they been saying.
@@lav1daloca They don't have the same body. Check the dimensions of the two vehicles. The Corolla Cross is much smaller than the CX-50. Yes, Toyota owns 5.05% of Mazda.

Bought one 4 days ago for Arizona mountain living after testing against Kia Sportage and Subaru Forester.

Is the CX-50 a Corolla Cross body with a Mazda powertrain?
No, they are totally different vehicles. They just happen to be assembled in the same factory.
