Lip sync is usually not a choice by the artists. The main big example is SClub 7, when they reunited (3 of them only) Paul said, it's cool the fact that we're REALLY SINGING! And Aqua always sings live in their recent live shows!

You've never been to a koncert before? You would find out its not that unusual, and it's often only nice because they are dancing alot the people in front, sweats.
You can tell its lip synced, you can't hear when they draw in breaths when you see it and he forgot to sing at 3:01 XD But awesome stage pressence and you can tell they are quite close friends :)
