I'm so glad I knew nothing about this movie when I saw it. The dart into complete chaos when Mr. Orange was bleeding out was beyond shocking. I thought the movie was gonna be a comedy, and that popped up. Best movie I've ever seen
Tarantino is a brilliant mind, even the way he studied Australian B movies and carried a lot of that camerawork and film making into his work is Genius
Gerry rafferty played with rather billy connelly started off as the humblebums at beginning of boths carrers stuck in the middle with gerry/ billy/ both
To put this in perspective, the amount of time between the original release of this song and the debut of Reservoir Dogs in theaters was shorter than the amount of time between the latter and today.
I'm truly grateful for Tarantino. I have been watching his films since I was 11. I don't know if it was negligence by my parents to let me watch his films from such a young age or maybe they just wanted me to understand and appreciate what true greatness was/is. 💁
@quietguy3099 I'm not speaking on this song even though I probably wouldn't of known this song if it weren't in his film, im speaking in general to his genius of cinema.
That was The Partridge Family's "Doesn't Somebody Want to be Wanted?", followed by Edison Lighthouse's "Love Grows where my Rosemary Goes" as K-Billy's Super Sounds of the 70's weekend just keeps on... truckin'.
Not many people realize that this is one of a handful of songs that typified the transition from the 60's to the 70's in popular music in both its' orchestration and vocal delivery. You can clearly hear the infused influence of Burt Bacharach and Lawrence David of the 60's beautifully combined with what would become Glam-rock Pop sound of the 1970's. An iconic song that is almost impossible to cover with any degree of credibility, Little Green Bag is also one of the many precursors to Rap Music.
I owe that master/genius/madness of a director for this song and you keep me hanging on both of which are in great scenes in masterclass films, Reservoir Dogs and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
Thank you very much for recording this two times in succession. Good thinking. It saves me hitting the replay button. How could you know I always listen to this song at least twice in a row?
Before last week had not heard this song in over 50 years, it was in a TV program I was watching last Tuesday, then on Friday I went into a store to buy something and it was playing on the Radio, and now it has come up in a TH-cam mix I am listening to whilst at work . Very weird to say the least.

I believe the best of his movies is his pasting... He gives people time to really feel the scene. He puts ordinary scenarios in different perspectives and gives it time. Especially the movies from early '90s (reservoir dogs, pulp fiction)
The music I recognise was played on the old redifusion. The book I found in the the understairs cupboard after my Mum died so glad I have found the music, Thank you all
+Alex Krasny I've got it on my playlist, so I'd be pissed off in any other case. But since it's a song from Tarantino's picture, I'm more than happy it plays twice.

It depends on you’re view, but these are definitely dark comedies in some form
I mean, I was just watching this movie with my mom and she laughed her ass off during the mexican standoff.

This song changes so drastically, yet so subtly. Perfect song to open a movie of the same nature.
Thank u Tarantino

I absolutely love this film. Who else here loves Reservoir Dogs?
Pretty much everyone. I know I do at least.
Watched Reservoir Dogs the other day. Have not been able to turn the soundtrack off since :D
This and 'Stuck In The Middle With You' are forever going to be associated with this wonderful movie
I listen to this song twice a day. I just love it. :)
This song plays in my head every time I walk through a parking lot
NOT BAD for a kid who used to just WATCH films, then RENT films....hell it was the best training one could ask for. ;-)
he didn't go to film school. He went to films.
If you watch Sergio Leone's westerns, they basically teach you camera placement and how to direct
Still is the best training knowing your art and why you love it.

Actually K Billy's super sounds of the 70's brought me here.

The best opening scene. Or at least the coolest.
dare i say it? ok i will.....the best part of tarantino movies are the soundtracks. he or whoever picks the songs has great musical taste.
He picks them usually
From Kill Bill Vol 2-Hateful Eight Ennio Morricone composes the music for those movies.
Absolutely correct!
Tarantino told in an interview that he makes his movies based on how he feels from listening to his records
I believe the best of his movies is his pasting... He gives people time to really feel the scene. He puts ordinary scenarios in different perspectives and gives it time. Especially the movies from early '90s (reservoir dogs, pulp fiction)
Currently playing this in my VW Beetle....excellent driving toons :) The film is both shocking and awesome.
