Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this triple numbers-matching 1967 BMW R69S!
This 1967 BMW R69S has resided nearly it's entire existence in California until 9/14/2020 when it was acquired by a motorcycle collector based in Traverse City, MI from its owner in Santa Barbara, CA. We acquired it on 9/15/2022 along with 17 other bikes from the collection. It is still sporting its original California black plate with decades of annual tab renewal stickers through 2021. It is finished in Avus Black with white pinstripes and is powered by a 594cc opposed twin paired with a four-speed manual transmission. This is a triple numbers-matching example meaning the headstock, frame, and engine numbers all match.
Features include a sport fuel tank with rubber knee grips, a shaft drive, an Earles fork, a Schorsch Meier two-up seat, a locking fuel tank storage compartment, a hinged rear fender, center and side stands, and a rear folding luggage rack. Wire-spoke 18″ wheels are mounted with Avon RoadRider tires with 2014 date codes. The suspension consists of an Earles leading-link front fork and a rear swingarm that incorporates the driveshaft enclosure with twin shocks. Braking is handled by drums at both ends. The 120-mph speedometer is housed in the headlight bucket and contains a five-digit odometer that shows 48,223 miles.
The paint on the tank, fenders, and headlight bucket are original showcasing beautiful 55-year-old patina, whereas the frame has been repainted at some point in the past. It is in fantastic running and driving condition as it was fully serviced by the collections mechanic before we purchased. This is a cannot miss opportunity as these are fantastic riding BMW's known for their reliability, ease of maintenance, and collectability.

Movimenti motore su cuscinetti volventi, bielle a sezione ovale, priva di catene (solo su tirante cavi acelleratore), forcella Earles, bracci sospensioni su cuscinetti a rulli conici, bilanceri su cuscinetti ad aghi, ecc.ecc. Migliorabile: cuscinetto a sfere sterzo sostituibile con cuscinetto a rulli; 12 V anziché 6 V; prima marcia più corta
