Hey Red that was a great lesson and nice simplification with the "TARGET NOTES". I tend to bombard myself and add confusion.

You're a legend Red, love your videos and lessons you're a great teacher...I love it when I need to learn a song and have a search around TH-cam for tricks to adopt and find you've done a video for that song...I don't bother looking for any others!!

Good material to move from your "technical" brain a more musical intuitive way to think and play. Thank you for bridging the ways to think/play!

Great lesson with nice insight into the chord combinations and positions. This is most helpful to make stuff more interesting. Always been a boring jam song but you've given me the spark to try some variations.

Boring? I've always felt this opens many opportunities for each musician to get an extended jam. Awesome jam song!

Yes, I fully agree that you've demonstrated the possibilities. It was boring always playing two chords all the way through until I watched your video!

The last rhythm riff is at around 6:30 (stated for my own benefit when I return, but I hope this is useful to others).

Damn you!! I'm one 'o dem self taught cats, so all this talk bout petonics and what not is greek to me. Even so, you did explain some ideas I think I can expand on. I always play this in C7/F7 which gets terribly boring. Never even considered C9 etc... great idea. Thanks. I can't quite see how you're playin that upper fret F7. I play it
8 8 10 8 10 8 But it don't sound the same as yours. Could you please show me how to play some different C7's and 9's & F7's and 9's, like I did ? TY!
