Something else to be thankful for - a new Bad Flashes video. Not just a lens review, it is also a food review and travelogue. Shooting B&W during golden hour 😂. Well, at least the lighting angles were great. Lots of lovely images. Yeah, keep shooting with that lens.
Joyful, happy and fun! Best part many of us follow an Austin Photographer of note who has incurable GAS! Wow. His Austin, clean perfect and tidy. I feel at home in yours! Bravo!
@@BadFlashes Yes, it was a good deal. But even better - 2021 i snagged the 7Artisans 35/F1.4 Wen lens, one stop faster, something bigger - for 169 EUR shiny new, because that store had for 24h a 50% off promotion, and i was the only guy, buying that lens for this asking price...he had 10 of it.
For F2, it 's too big. Did you have to DIY the focus calibration? I have the Summicron and the Voigtlander Nokton F1.2. The former is dead on with the focus. I had to send the Nokton to DAG for focus calibration. Voigtlander 's aftermarket support in the US is pretty much non-existent.
Not going to the doctor is probably a joke most people outside of America won't understand.... But I have to say I'm glad for a health system that actually works. I can't imagine myself having to rationalise my healthcare over my camera gear. Damn bro... It's one of the "other world" scary things I think about sometimes when people "throw it all behind capital..." It's not that the market isn't great... It's that point in your video that highlights how expensive it is.
It depends on what country you use the word "slaps", as it means rubbish, dire, terrible in the UK slang terms ... Obviously the reverse in the staes ?? If it was between the Voigtlander and the 7 Artisans for an M6, which would you pick regardless of cost ?
Every time I'm on South Congress I see that Austin Motel 5:03 sign as something...different 🤔 Glad you enjoyed your time in the city with loads of BBQ!
Great vid, Caleb. I always love when you're chilling with your family! I think the lens is particularly good with the B&W film. Those were really nice shots, especially the snaps of people. Surprised you're probably going to part with the VCS, but you definitely don't need both. Happy Thanksgiving from MO, bro! 😎🔥🦃
Thanks! And I do agree. It works well with black and white. I’d love to see what a promist look like tooo …. Maybe I’ll try lol Thanks for the love. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁
You love your barbeque! If you come back to NYC hit up Hometown. Better than John Brown IMO. Fette Sau in Williamsburg if you can't make it down there, Mables is ok. Virgil's in Times Sq if you're desperate, its really not too bad tbh.
Caleb the amount of barbecue you eat is concerning to me, not just for your health but for the plumbing system at your house. Be careful out there buddy.
I want to get this lens bad! I wonder when they gonna release it? I've seen other reviews, all of them are good, except this lens doesn't fit all Leica bodies so be careful people!
Iiiiiiit's THUR-sday, and not just any Thursday but an every-other-Thursday Thursday, meaning a Flashes-Thursday. Really the best kind of Thursday if you ask me! Also, as a beer loving beer lover who just loves beer, that beer looks like lovely beer. Just sayin'. Also also, great friggin video. Cheers bud! See ya in two weeks. (or else... dun-dun-dunnnnn)
Well Caleb, it's yours and Jason's fault, i finally own a Leica M6. I only got one kidney now but i hope this purchase will makes me a better photographer. I'm joking! This purchase will never makes me a better photographer!
Hey Caleb. Great update. I love your walk n talks. Awesome stuff. I share your thoughts on lenses with trouble focussing at infinity. Needless to say, using this 35mm f/2 to me has the hallmarks of a great street lens.

Love that. Thanks 🤪🥳😍

Ahhhh I’m thankful you’re thankful 🥹
Happy Thanksgiving & thanks for dropping a video today!
Of course thanks for joining 😍😍
It slaps, especially brand new with customs for 228 EUR. Bought it last november. Still, don't own a Leica, but it runs fine via adapter on my A7.
Oh nice! That’s awesome.

I did not need to calibrate this one. No, I was already calibrated.

Well the 7 is cheaper I believe… but the voigtlander is smaller. Idk. Depends on what is more important
If you ever make it out to Ft. Worth we’ve also got some great bbq. Panther city and goldees to name a few
I have a big TX trip at some point. For sure a good spot to know. :)
Happy Thanksgiving, also day 2 of a Contax t3 camera review

Every time I'm on South Congress I see that Austin Motel 5:03 sign as something...different 🤔 Glad you enjoyed your time in the city with loads of BBQ!
Hahaha I almost made a joke about that 😝
I knew that "BBQ" would somehow find its way into the dialogue!!
Hmmmm not the Texas i'm used to seeing.. except for the BBQ
Usually does haha

Great video. Food and photography, with a dash of a lens review. :)
Hahaha just the ratio I’m going for 😜
Hey Caleb, recently stumbled upon ur sharegrid, and you have a AATON XTR? Can we get an episode on shooting 16mm?
Hahaha working on it my friend. Working on it ☺️
Didn't expect a lens review to make me this hungry
Hahahahaha that’s funny. And I did my job

Happy thanksgiving 🍁
Thanks for watching and hopefully I do get some more BBQ soon lol
Love your videos! May I ask what soft shutter release you’re using? I peeked it in the thumbnail.
Aw thanks. And I’m. It sure I got it from beers and camera a few years back. Sorry
So is this LTM mount? Orrerrerrrrr?
No it’s Leica M mount
Caleb the amount of barbecue you eat is concerning to me, not just for your health but for the plumbing system at your house. Be careful out there buddy.
Hahaha thanks for your concern
To be fair, I only eat it on The Open Road
🚗
@@BadFlashes I guess that means your plumbing is safe then haha.
For now.

Yeah, I did see that it doesn’t fit on the M3 or something like that

That will make you better! 🤣
Is it bad I want the meats more than the lens...
Haha the both fill me up
Want to create a lens brand with me called 8artisans? Think about it, which would you choose? That’s 1 more artisan.
Hahaha that is true.
We love it
Yay!!!!
@@BadFlashes but not vegetarian episode today :)
Haha true
Yeah, no.
Happy turkey day tho!
