Museum and St James stations are the two oldest underground stations. Bradfield, the guy who designed the Sydney rail system and Sydney Harbour Bridge, modelled the rail system on a mix of the London tube and New York subway systems. In homage to them, he modelled Museum on typical London tube stations (but larger as Sydney trains are much bigger) and St James on a typical New York subway station. They are the only underground stations that retain their heritage 'look'.
