Paving segment on George's layout is gold! I have used the spackle, and applied the same paints on top for my current layout. But...my new layout, I will be mixing paint and spackle! Simple technique, but obviously very effective. That is WHATS NEAT!
The road tutorial made by George was great. I would have liked to see the new NG7 (narrow gauge 1/43.5) from Bachmann UK, I only discovered it today in an UK magazine, but I'm very interested by it.

If you add some water to the mix it will go on much smoother.
Maybe. But it was fine and dries quickly. The paint also adds some liquid. But it wasn’t difficult to apply.

Hydrocal can do the same with no color added.
If mixed correctly, one should barely have to sand plaster. Go watch someone plaster a house.
