Some might not agree with me, but I always enjoyed this movie for the high adventure Indiana Jones style feeling it creates. Also, one of the few roles where Sean Bean doesn't die.
Poor Sean Bean...🤣
I love Cages line to him early on: "You can't shoot me - there's more movie" :P
Uhhhh yea that’s kind of the whole point of the movie 😅
Most people agree with you wtf are you on about? And Sean Bean doesn't die in way more than half of his movies so no, not "one of the few"
Forget the rudeness of *some other people here* This movie is always fun to watch. It was a pleasant surprise when I first saw it in theaters. Definitely feels like an Indiana Jones/Uncharted type of adventure. The second, while not as good as the first (not talking bad about it) was still fun and a good time. Shame they didn’t make a third.
The 2nd National Treasure is definitely worth watching!
not so much.
It definitely is worth watching.
@@katheralockharte4475hey yea the first one and second one very good car chase scenes
An Indy-Style treasure hunt, and an action movie with a minimal body count. A rare creature, and one that's appreciated.
I liked part 2 it is definitely worth watching just as fun and entertaining
“Those of have the ability to take action have the responsibility to take action… I’m going to steal it” was such a great and hilarious line I catch it every time
Nicholas Cage is absolutely brilliant in Wind Talkers, which is about the Navaho code talkers during WW2.
But transmitting artillery coordinates..?
And this demonstrates why you should always have some random CAPS in your passwords. They would have locked themselves out before they figured out vAllEy fORge
The key is to make your code something like "Wlekfnzoa", that way there is no guessing.
The sequel is also great, made even better with Helen Mirren.
She and Jon Voight squabbling like an old married couple... 😄
This man just said National Treasure 2 is "great".... lol.
@@TahiriVeila13ABYit may not be great but it is a lot of fun.
@@TahiriVeila13ABYAlso, your username rules. I love Tahiri and hate Jacen because of what he did to her.
Ghost Rider (2007) is another Nicholas Cage movie that you should watch.
Now you're ready for National Treasure 2!
This was a go to movie for my kids…so good and so many fun memories of watching.
Watched this movie so many times growing up, good choice, good memories
Addie, Nic Cage is a very seasoned and talented actor. I suggest you watch Raising Arizona and Leaving Las Vegas (for which he won the academy award). Also, a personal favorite of mine during the Christmas season…Family Man
I've always enjoyed Matchstick Men
Family Man had me in tears at least once.
popping off shots like that in dc would attract some MAJOR attention.
When I saw Christopher Plummer in the opening sequence I had a flash of Addie's "The Sound Of Music" performance back when... sometime. It's like our very own six degrees of Kevin Bacon game. Happy Holidays everyone!
Cage - in no particular order, Face Off, Con Air, Leaving Las Vegas, It Could Happen To You, City Of Angels, Kick Ass, Gone in 60 Seconds, Lord of War, The Rock, Guarding Tess, Snake Eyes.
I would say that City of Angels is pretty special, and then It Could Happen To You is also a good watch too. Best action films would be Con Air, and The Rock.
Valley Girl, for The Plimsouls alone..
BTW, you're missing an S there.
Trespass 2011 is alright as well.
I don't exactly know why but, I love this movie. Just like I love "The Mummy".
For Nicolas Cage movies for you to watch I would suggest Con Air, Face Off and The Rock.
I forgot about Face Off.
Ghost Rider isn't bad.
Also "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent". That movie's hilarious.
You have been missing a lot, there is a lot of Nicholas Cage certified classics.
Here is my top list:
The Rock 1996
Con Air 1997
Gone in 60 Seconds 2000
Lord of War 2005
Watching this movie when I was young was a whole vibe.
The second movie is also just as fun. Also now Disney created recently a National Treasure series that follows after the movies chronologically.
Happy holidays, Addie! Since you liked this, I'm going to say "NTIi" will be just fine. We add Ed Harris and Helen Mirren to the cast. There's international travel and another crime. There are more than Nick Cage movies. Happy holidays
This is one of those movies that come along once in a blue moon. A truly rare gem. Sean Bean actually lives!
I think the sequel is just as good. That's a rarity, too.
Glad to see you want to watch more nic cage Addie! I’d recommend you check out “face off”, “bad lieutenant” and the “the rock” (with Sean Connery as well 😊)
This was one of my favorite movies growing up (and it still is). The second one is great as well-- I hope you check it out!
I'd really like to see your reaction to 'Unbearable weight of Massive Talent'. I wasn't expecting much of it going in, but loved it.
She probably needs to watch a few more Cage movies first. Like Face/Off and Con Air especially.
@@SuperAlaska23 Yeah, that's a fair point. Addie, if you're reading this. Please watch a couple more of Cage's movie and then watch 'Unbearable Weight' on the channel. That'd be swell.
The 2nd one National Treasure Book of Secrets is pretty good as well
THE FAMILY MAN(2000).....for the holidays!
🎄🎅🎄🤶🎄🦌🎄⛄🎄
Hi Addie. Great reaction to a great film. Since you are a musical theater girl, I thought I'd let you know that the grandfather was played by Christopher Plummer who was also Georg Von Trapp in The Sound of Music.
He also starts in the romcom Must Love Dogs, which you would probably love. He's also in Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country (ST 6) as a histrionic Klingon "You can never appreciate Shakespeare until you hear him in the original Klingon!"
There are some great Nicolas Cage movies out there, starting with some of the ones that came out in the 80's when I was a kid. But I do enjoy some of his later films, like The Rock with Sean Connery and Ed Harris. Con Air is another one. I could keep going, but that would take too long. As for National Treasure, this film is an amazing one. This movie gave me the same sense of adventure I felt when watching the Back To The Future and the Indiana Jones films. The Mask Of Zorro with Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta Jones and Anthony Hopkins also gave me the same sense of adventure as this one.
Young Nick: Valley Girl
Riley was a perfect side kick in this movie.
First movie, I don't think he has lines but it was filled with new stars . Fast Times at Ridgemont High! Then two siin after that were amazing. Peggy Sue got Married and Moonstruck!
I love movies that are like this, clues and maps and action I mean such a great concept
Love this movie & the 2nd one, you have no idea how many dozens of times I’ve seen them both growing up till now
A rare movie where Sean Bean lives.
The wide range of Cage's films is astounding, the man is in a universe of his own making when it comes to acting (heavily influenced by German Expressionism and Japanese kabuki theater), and he is constantly exploring the boundaries. For a look at more recent films where his acting really shines check out the films 'Joe',. and also 'Pig', excellent independent films.
I enjoyed the sequel; same leading cast plus Ed Harris and Helen Mirren; with the watch.
I love the use of the Expospeak Gag in this. "A cartograph. . . to items of historic and intrinsic value." In a failed attempt to sound less stupid than "a treasure map."
I know for a fact there is an invisible map on the Declaration of Independence. I haven’t seen it, myself!
😂
For a very young Nicholas Cage, try "Valley Girl".
Lots of action/adventure fans here recommending other Nicolas Cage movies. They're all good. But I only see 1 recommendation for Moonstruck. It's a RomCom in which Nic plays opposite Cher, who won the Oscar for Lead Actress. And Olympia Dukakis won for Supporting Actress. Great movie.
Buying a replica copy of the Declaration of Independence must have been a last minute decision, in my opinion. Had Ben thought of it earlier, he would have kept enough money on him to pay for it, and not leave a trail for the FBI.
The real national treasure was the sorcerer's apprentice we made along the way
"I could totally steal the declaration of independence" was the moment Addie was put on a watch list😂
FBI, if you’re watching this, IT’S A JOKE 😂
Great reaction to a great movie!
I like the second movie also.
@3:20 at first I thought Addie said "addicts" instead of "attics" which is funny since if you take "Addie Counts" and remove the "eoun" you get "AddiCts"
Fun fact: The creators of the movie have said that the "National Treasure" in the title refers to the Decleration of Independance itself, not the treasure Ben and Ian are hunting.
Yup Addie, I have a scar from The Thing too.
The second one is worth watching for sure!
See? Sean Bean doesn't always die in movies, even when he plays the villain.
Awesome love love love this movie. Part 2 is very fun also.
Speaking of Treasure...all these guys in the cast are...but Sean Bean is a World Treasure...
5:40 It's probably biggest single piece of metal on the boat so most likely to get picked up by the detector.
The big questions: why would masons build a wooden staircase? Instead of a STONE staircase?
Now you Have to watch the second one. It’s really great! The Rock is another great Cage movie and has Sean Connery in it too. But for a really nostalgic Cage movie, watch Valley Girl 🥹
Great reaction love your videos
So Nick Cage movies you need to watch: National treasure 2, The Rock, Con Air & Raising Arizona, Kick Ass. These movies are outstanding!!
This was a very fun reaction! My personal favorite Nick Cage movie is by far The Family Man. Would highly recommend for a future reaction (also it’s kind of a Christmas movie)
One other Nicolas Cage movie I recommend is "Next". Highly underrated.
At 16:15 Never buy souvenirs on site. I bought a replica copy of the DOI for $5 at a retail vendor.
Can't go wrong with Nicolas Cage. Really like these movie and the second.. I do like the Behind the Scenes on this one
They did "The Charlotte" in a large freezer essentially so actors wore thick clothes and so forth,, they didn't have to 'act' cold at all. They were cold... 0 degrees. Kinda interesting, but it was larger than a standard ship to make everything fit, the camera crew and all.
The second one and also The Da Vinci Code. I saw The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent by chance when I had a few hours waiting for something and it was also a lot of fun.
Dear Papa Gates, there's a freeeeeeakin invisible set of 'ciphers' on the back of a monumentally historic 200+ year old document. Hello? Your kid found _something_ don't ya think?!
Lots of conveniently effective lamps and torches waiting everywhere. Like a video game.
Addie, if you have become a Cage fan, consider "The Rock". It stars Sean Connery and Ed Harris too.
I love sean bean in the hitcher
Great reaction to what is absolutely an incredibly fun action/adventure treasure hunt. 🙂
And the old joke remains: if it's an American production, Sean Bean's the villain. 😛
You'll love the second Natl Treasure.
I see here that around the corner fudge is made
THE SEQUEL IS PRETTY GREAT
I work so much i miss the 1st 1,000 likes of a brand new Addie upload 👍🏿 but still an #ADDIEaddict 🫶🏿
Definitely watch the sequel. Then watch Raising Arizona, so funny. Then watch Guarding Tess. Merry Christmas, Addie.
Hey! Sean Bean's character wasn't killed in the movie, that's something!
Thanks Addie!
i just think its hilarious that riley is bitching about 50 million dollars at the end.
I love this and the 2nd one great movies
Yes you need to watch the second movie too and it is the same cast
I’m hoping you do watch the second movie AND I hope you watch the NC and Pedro Pascal movie with the super long title for the channel.
Two of my favorite movies I watched this past year are this film, which I had previously dismissed as a cheap knockoff of The DaVinci Code, and its sequel National Treasure Book of Secrets. They are both much better than The DaVinci Code. If you enjoyed this film you will definitely enjoy the sequel.
The second one is worth watching. 😊
Second movie is just as much fun, and they are all back in it. Well expect Sean Bean.
Addie is adorable.
Disney Plus had a series last year
they are all in the 2nd one, i enjoyed the second one as well
We can tell you’ve never watched him before as no one calls him “Nicholas” Cage 😂😂
9:50
I love your little finger roll in the beginning. 😆 If you want to react a really cool Nicholas Cage movie, "Ghost Rider" is the one, Addie.
click (2006) is a good movie to watch
I love this movie and the second one is better actually and I don't know if it's tru I heard that Nickolas cage is in so much det he doesn't say no to any movie
Any knight, can make another knight.
23:04. Yahooooooooooo
These movies were so good. The adventures and history and high stakes... it's just pure fun.
I think the 2nd one is just as good
my favorite Nicholas Cage movie has gotta be Raising Arizona its a bit older but extremely funny would love to see your reaction to it
And he's a Coppola!
For some wild Nick Cage, see him in *"Wild At Heart"*
Would love to see you react to Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent too, it's such a fun movie
See the 2nd. Every bit as preposterous, but also every bit as fun.
This is a movie that you can tell me all the faults with it and I’ll agree with you that it’s not perfect but I just do not care. Easily my favorite movie. Thank you 4th grade teachers for showing the classes this movie because it slightly had something to do with the revolutionary war
Nah forget national treasure 2 you gotta watch Cage's Ghost Rider, plus it's a marvel movie, kinda, technically
Ghost Rider of Nicholas Cage would be a great reaction video
