Sir thank you for doing this. I want everybody to think about what this man said right away. Out of over 700 billion dollars. 5 billion was set aside for black businesses. Yet our Government wants us to believe that there are funds for black businesses. All the black businesses in America are supposed to split and chase $5 billion dollars. I'm good I've given up on the "American Dream" now I just try to survive. At this point it's almost better to move to a new country SMH
Wow. All you need to do is live in another country for a bit to realize this is the only place an American Dream is possible. Even Canada is a pain. :) That said, some of the facts are different than what you're saying. Black-American Owned Small Businesses have access to the full $700B. I'm not saying they'll win it all, just that they can compete for it. What I don't like is how the SBA and agencies keep taking credit for tens of billions going to BAOSBs, but in reality it's not. It keeps getting one by firms like ANC. The biggest point was not to complain, but to recognize that the money is there and some agencies just appear to be far more 'friendly' to BAOSBs than others.

Moved to Washington to do government contracting. Program manager staff just don't want to do business with black American owners. "Information" doesn't help overcome racism. In theory (critical race theory), nothing can overcome racism. It's baked into our economic system.
I understand that frustration, but I'd submit you're not meeting enough program managers. There are hundreds of thousands of them. Guaranteed 50% will be no help or even get in your way. But there is the other 50%. What do you sell? Which agencies are you trying to pursue? Did you watch my training yesterday on subcontracting? Make sure you connect with me on LinkedIn.
@@neilmcdonnell The fact that Black Americans have to meet more program managers than white Americans, proves my point. This feels like the old addage that black American families have to work twice as hard to get half as much. Even subcontractors still require approval of the program manager. This is why unemployment rates are double, number of proposals or resumes submitted before getting paid (ie, time on the bench) is at least a 3x gap. None of this is a secret. Whereas it's unnecessary for white Americans, black Americans have to be service disabled before getting considered, statistically speaking. You can drive up and down 301 in PG county and see all the DV tags on luxury cars as anecdotal proof of this. Thank you for your service, and I trust your good intentions. But Washington just isn't evolved yet. To the contrary, we're reverting backwards by at least a century in my view and experience. Yes, I agree, black American people can get paid in Washington. But it's much more difficult than people realize, and significantly much more difficult than it is for the typical white American applicant.
Nobody is concerned about equity for Black owned business. It would reason that if 14 % of those contract dollars went to Black owned business those businesses could employ their own people and alleviate a lot of poverty in those communities. That's never is going to happen when the goal of government is to keep Blacks out of the economic pie. No amount of knowledge in this nation concerning contracting is going to change the policy of this nation to with hold capital to make sure Black businesses are under capitalized therefore subject to fail. I guess gaslighting these business owners are as good as the propaganda but those dollars they gibe Black businesses isn't goong yi change the economic plight of Black Americans or it businesses.
@@politicallil7060 you can just look at the house values of the neighborhoods around the beltway. If they're 80% black, a renovated 3 bath house on a quarter acre is 500k. The economic policies of monetary distribution by perceived "caste" are fully baked into the system. Meanwhile racial discrimination is supposedly illegal in business after Civil Rights Act of 1866. This is why I always say we're reverting backwards by at least a century, because the courts don't even let you present your case on its merits. They'll toss it out on some mumbo jumbo legal technicality. I'm not saying you can't buy housing around Washington. I'm saying the system is designed for racial stratification to be perpetuated for the next 100 years so black American people will only be able to afford to buy houses around other economically oppressed black people. In effect, dominant caste white families are concentrated around Bethesda and McLean. Middle caste immigrant families who fly an entirely different flag live around Falls Church and Hyattsville. Do a casual search for "international grocery" on Google maps around the beltway to see where they're clustered. Subordinate caste American families who bled and died for this country generally can only afford to live around other economically castigated people in PG. The faster you realize this, the better. Otherwise you're going to waste many years, perhaps even decades chasing "opportunities". Respectfully to the channel owner and his good intentions, I've reached the conclusion that if you can't win the game, don't play it.
