My Syrian Grandmother passed away last year at 94. I was in college too “busy” to learn from her. Thank you for passing this along to it stays in my family as well as yours.
Absolutely love Fatayer! I worked in a restaurant years and years ago (Western cuisine) and the owners were Lebanese. The wife would always make these for the family/staff. So I tried my hand at it, and I love them! Making them today and teaching my 2 young daughters!
I'm Lebanese on my dad's side and my grandparents have a always made fatayer for us. I'm so excited to make it for them now :) Thanks for this great video!!
1. does the flour matter, or just All Purpose? 2. What type of yeast? Just dry yeast or rapid rise?!? 3. How much beef? 1#, 1.5#?? 4. How much spinach (by weight)? 10oz?? 5. Any specific Pomegranate Sauce to use (if folks don't use, it's not juice. It's like a molasses and thicker)? Neighbor was middle eastern and used to make and have her son bring over. They were soo good. Getting ready to make now!
Beautiful! Thanks for teaching me how to wrap them. Very easy to comprehend and copy. Took me some practice to do it as easily as you and mine still aren’t perfect but they’re definitely delicious :)
I used to work in Lebanese cuisine and that was my favourite dumplings thank you for this amazing video❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello there my good Sir. Can I use vegetable oil for the dough......? Olive oil a lot pricey from this part of the word. I love the recipe. Cannot wait to try. ❤
I enjoyed the video. Mashallah, simple and easy to follow. I will try this recipe now...... :) I noticed something though....in the written description it's written, 1 tablespoon of sugar then 1 cup of sugar, instead of 1 cup of water. 🙈Thought I'd mention so no one makes a mistake. Jazak Allah for the recipe, brother. 👍🏻😊

Shukran for sharing. Lovely warm spices used in the meat . You have used uncooked mixture for spinach ones.....does it not release water n make dough soggy??
C'est super est-ce que vous pouvez mettre tout les ingrédients en message wathsap ça va trop vite je suis à Paris je ne comprends pas l'anglais merci c'est une très belle recette merci beaucoup
@@letscookwithomar2654 It's not an Egyptian speciality nor an Israeli one, nor from Dubai or the Gulf or North Africa, so this leaves only a few countries that can claim this Fatayer was their own: Lebanon, Syria, Jordan. In my opinion, probably Syria and/or Lebanon, since both countries were one some time ago. Oh... I forgot Turkey...
The dough came out soft and tasty. For the cheese pie, what kind of cheese should I use? Thanks Omar. You made the recipe look easy.
Im glad it turned out well! For the cheese pie, I would suggest Mozzarella cheese! Im glad I could help :).
