  • Kayaking on Lake Blue Ridge is a great way to experience the beauty of the Georgia mountains. With its crystal-clear water and stunning views, Lake Blue Ridge is a must- kayak destination for anyone visiting the area. There are plenty of outfitters in the area who can help you get set up with everything you need for a fun day on the lake. So grab your kayak, come along, and explore some of the most beautiful scenery in Georgia!
We began this trip with packing our camping trailer to embark on a weekend adventure. We spent about two hours driving up from Atlanta, GA and began the weekend by setting up camp at Morgantown Point Campground in Morganton, GA. Luck would have it that we got an absolutely stunning campsite (Lot 17) right on the lakes edge for the weekend. We Went ahead and setup our tents, put our kayaks near the Lake edge, and got to making a fire and dinner!
After we setup camp and explored the campground a bit we got out onto the lake for a bit of paddling and found it to be beautiful and scenic with the mountains beyond the water. We did this adventure early spring, and it was a bit windy and cool. The lake was still a bit low from winter, but we found a few surprises from old houseboats to the mountain views! The mountain views made for quite the serene paddling and at night the stars were gorgeous!

Thank you! I’m hoping to add a 4K fpv drone from dji soon, flies twice as fast, and way more maneuverable allowing for some really need shots. Always trying to find new angles and fresh ways to show off our locations. Keep a fair amount of drone and B roll shots in with some dialogue to tell the story of the place and our visit.

GOOD EDITING MAKING MY FIRST TRIP VIDEO THIS WEEKEND

Thanks for the comment! Every video we shoot and edit it gets better. The lake chatuge trip is my best, just put it out last night. Used canva to add an end screen custom to our channel, intros smooth, gotten good on when and where with transitions. Using epedemic sound for music and also throwing in sound effects like campfire, birds, waves on the lakes, subtle but nice. We also just shot the last two videos with our drone and gopros in 23.96 fps at 4k and I think it looked really smooth in the lake chatuge trip. I never realized that was a thing and had been shooting in 30 fps 4K but truly like the smoothness of the video at the 23 setting. Using Adobe premier for editing and that learning curve is steep, year and a half and I’m still learning things every time! TGIF for TH-cam how to videos. Lol
