Haiou Zhang plays Franz Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor, S 178 in Ehrbar Hall, Vienna

Chinese pianist Haiou Zhang made his debut in the historic Ehrbar Hall, a prominent concert venue opened in 1877, where composers such as Brahms, Mahler and Bartók have visited. The hall has been newly renovated and is ready for a new series of C. Bechstein Piano Recital since 2023.

I saw Zhang play at the 170th C. Bechstein Anniversary concert. He is one of the most charismatic pianists I've ever heard. It is known that the Liszt B minor Sonata is one of the most challenging pieces ever written for piano, however this was an excellent example of Zhangs ability, not only as a pianist but as a musician. Bravo!
