I think long distance and many months put a strain on any relationship, people change I put my self in their shoes for a mere minute thinking if I would want to get back with my first love or should I say long term relationship and I have to say nope I am good he has changed so much thru the years we have absolutely nothing in common! I don't think they separated on terrible waves , I think fame got in both their paths way too fast instead of knowing how to work together on this (one pulled one way) and (one the other!)They both are beautiful loving down to earth human beings as you or I! From my experience it is possible to have a mutual breakup and then completely loose contact. Just think, Vanessa said she completely lost contact many years after their breakup and I would say it's not that normal to keep in touch with your ex for that long anyways. And the only reason I want them back together (but I know it will never happen) is because I was too young and didn't care for musicals and I didn't watch it until a couple months ago and then I was in love with them, so I never got to have the joy of seeing them actually together like other people did 10 years ago

Tbh, if High School Musical 4 was actually a realistic movie, then Troy and Gabriella wouldn’t end up together. Instead I think their kids who go to East High will end up together. Like they couldn’t keep up with one another so they broke up and moved on but stayed friends. Then Troy’s son in the future plays basketball at East High. But then Gabriella and her daughter move so her daughter goes to East High and that Gabriella moves away from her ex husband. Then that’s when their children fall in love

I can't blame Vanessa.
