    Fun video. I have had my godzilla for 5 months now, and have averaged 13.8 mpg for the life of the vehicle. I only briefly used the eco mode, as the only thing I could tell it did was deaden the pedal. I found myself smashing the pedal to the floor, rather than driving normally. Loving the truck!

      Thanks, man. I noticed that same thing myself. I did some research and Eco mode was intended for speeds under like 40 mph. That seems backwards to me

    I did a similar informal test on my 2021 F250 Tremor (7.3L, 4.30 gears). I got 13.5 calculated mpg in Eco mode, and 12.7 calculated in normal. That's after driving over 1000 miles in Eco in case it was a "learning" drive mode that would alter fuel maps based on your driving style. Both tanks were to work and back for a full tank with mixed highway/town driving within 5 mph of the speed limit (max 55 mph limit)

    A little trick I learned is on the fuel door there is a little hook to hang your fuel cap on so the cap isn't banging on the bed side.

    I know this is a gasser fuel check but for any diesel followers... I had a 19 F350 SRW diesel w/3.55 rear end and was getting 11-13 just driving normal and towing our 5th wheel (44ft roughly 15,500lbs loaded) we were getting anywhere from 8's to 10'ish. I traded that in for a 22 F450 and can only get 430 rear end and on the hi-way I can squeak out 14 not towing and doing 65mph, towing the same 5th wheel I get between 9-11mpg and city driving Im getting 11-12. I had a 16 F250 w/6.2L gasser and that thing drank like Pelosi and got a whopping 8'ish no matter what it was doing.

    • @millionairemafia9610
      @millionairemafia9610  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I think a diesel would be best for consistent/frequent towing. If it's mostly a daily driver with the occasional towing job (like I use it), it doesn't really make sense. However, if it is truly a work truck, get the right tool for the job and buy a diesel. The extra maintenance and fuel costs are just a part of doing business at that point.
      Thanks for the comment!

    Ive got the 7.3l in a 2022 tremor with 2500 miles so i know the engine is not broke in yet and i should see better numbers as it breaks in and ive found that the eco mode makes a biggest difference in city driving i also added a k&n air filter. In the future my plans are to go with a header back system with factory cats, and to install a tune to help with mpg. How ever with just the upgraded air filter over the factory air filter im seeing 2mpg to 5mpg better the 2 mpg is at highway speeds of 60 to 70mph and im getting 15.5mpg. The 5mpg is a combined eco mode and k&n air filter and eco mode in city i was seeing about 10mpg in city before now im getting 15mpg i also have the 4:30 rearend in my truck so i know i could be doing much better if i had a 3.31 or a 3.55 all numbers where gained as well by driving like a grandparent on a sunday drive

    I noticed that you used 87 octane when testing eco mode and then used 93 octane when testing normal mode. Could it be that you actually got the same mileage but the higher octane gave you a bit of a bump? Great video, awesome intro!

    • @millionairemafia9610
      @millionairemafia9610  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good catch, but that was actually on the fill up AFTER doing the normal mode test. I'm doing an 87 vs 93 octane comparison test next, so that's why I selected 93.
      I've always been curious to see how much, if any, affect it has on performance. Kinda wish I had thought of that back in 2020 though 💸💸💸

      That does seem pretty low though. Might be a break-in thing. Mine has started to creep up over the last 10,000 miles, so that could be it. Might also be because you are in a high altitude or hilly environment. It gets hot here in FL, but it's about as flat as you can get
