  • Video from Great Bay and White Bay on Jost Van Dyke shot on October 1, 2017. The island took a sever beating in both Hurricanes and the devastation is heart breaking to everyone who ever visited and to those who live there. However, they vow to rebuild but will need a tremendous amount of help. I shot this while assisting on a supply run bringing in MRE's and delivering Devon, who hadn't seen his Mother since before Irma and was stuck in the states.

Thanks for the update and the great drone footage. My heart breaks for the damage that was done to this beautiful island and what the residents had to suffer through and still dealing with the aftermath.

Thank you for posting this, it will get word out and hopefully more needs met. BVI and JVD etc will be green again, they came back after 1989 Hugo getting electric for the first time (without generator) New Years Eve 1990 and there was a vehicle maybe two for construction back then. The sea, sun and especially the fine people survived! Many more buildings to fix or rebuild than 28 years ago but together, they with us the tourists can bring it back faster. The R & R is still there for the tourists and sailors seeking tera firma for a break from the sea or hustle and bustle. Pray for recovery and thanks be that they survived.

Turn this ENTIRE island (all 1,976 ACRES of it) into a NUDIST RESORT...........TOWN......... (where nudity is legally protected EVERYWHERE OUTDOORS on the ENTIRE island) and it'll be back up to snuff in less than 1 year. Hell, if I could find a job on the island I'D move there for the next 5 years.

Yes, it's Great Harbor. But no need to be mean. Our hearts all break for the losses to our dear friends and island.

Boohoo. I lived there. And my parents are still there. I am going back soon. As a survivor of Irma, I can say this, you have no right to control what I do when it comes to something I know 20 times better than you ever will.
