    i still use my old ipod with the physical buttons. You just cant beat the old style. I never need to ' wake up ' my device, its on or off instantly. I can lower the volume super quick. Apple dropped the ball by redesigning itunes by separating the podcasts from the music. It was so much better before. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways.

    How about mentioning what they sound like? Most of your choices are way too expensive for most people who just want an audio upgrade from what they get from their phones. People who know about the Sony and other high-end players don't need your advice. Sorry but this is pretty lazy research.

      Can you suggest me good one with affordable price please?

    • @nkq5568
      @nkq5568 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@flashhaxor-oo1un I never use a standalone music player anymore. Here's what I'm doing right now. I have a Samsung Note 9, an older but high-end phone. It has an earphone port. I stream TH-cam music. I can use an external DAC connected to the USB C port. That cost $100. Then I have a variety of IE earphones ranging from $45 to $150. You can get great earphones for around $45. But don't think that if you pay more you'll get more. Chances are you won't. More often than not I use my earphones straight through the earphone port and it sounds great. If I feel like I need to I install the DAC, but usually I don't, I'll plug it in. If you have an old crappy phone then you can't do this. If you have an iPhone that is 3 years old or a high-end Samsung that is about 3 years old, they have great DACs built in. But They are throttled because to utilize all the power of that DAC, it will eat up battery power. You can overcome that by purchasing USB audio player pro. This piece of software allows the built-in DAC to play high resolution files.

    One thing is NEVER mentioned is whether these players have a resume function so that I can turn off midway and then pick up EXACTLY where I left off another time. Very important as I listen to a lot of radio plays.

    I just want the equivalent to an old-style ipod nano, but with the ability to add an a microsd slot.
    I want it to work and function the same, but with the ability to hold a lot more music.
    I don't know why this is so hard for companies to make.
    And seriously: screw apple for passing off those gimped iphones as "ipods". I need something small, tactile, long battery life, and with plenty of space.
    Why is this such a huge ask? Just do what you were doing before, except BETTER. It's not hard. But noooooo, you just want to repurpose your older iphone factory line or something.

    Can anyone answer my question? I am looking for an MP3 player that plugs in (not rechargeable). Something that I can plug in and place on my night stand and don't need to recharge. I am also hoping to get one that plays off of memory sticks so that I can change my music often by using different memory sticks. Is such an item available? All I can find are wireless, rechargeable, run off phone, etc. Thank you!

      Hello Marilyn. I've been trying to do the same thing myself. While I have 2 old ipods I use for walking, I also wanted an mp3 player that sits stationary in the house like a radio. I have two models that are able to play off a flashdrive, both not very good: a Sony model (one of the speakers blew out after only a year) and a Naxa model (whose volume wheel stopped working after only about 9 months). I'm still in search of a good player that plays off a flashdrive, or as you describe, could store the mp3 files internatlly.
      As for what I have stationary next to my bed, I have an old ipod (still works but the battery is dead) with a wire running from the headphones port into the input of a radio (acts as speaker) and the charging cord running from the bottom of the ipod into the wall socket, so it does act like what you describe, not requiring that frequent "recharging".
      Many of us don't want all the frilly modern stuff like the wireless bluetooth or the fancy cloud players, or some impossible-to-figure-out programmable dohickey, or something with these fancy wireless Bose speakers. We just want something similar to an old radio, plugged into the wall, that plays our library of mp3's. Why should modern life be more complicated than that?

    • @marilynmb.canada9680
      @marilynmb.canada9680 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phillipabramoff7374 Thank you Phillip for sharing your experience. I don't mind all the rechargable items, but for something that it stationary, and could just be plugged into the wall outlet, it just isn't necessary.
      I did end up buying a CD MP3 player but it doesn't work as I had expected. It just plugs into the wall, but there is no display so I can't see what I am playing, just hit and miss. The sound isn't very good from the speaker either. I have an older MP3 player that has my music on it and the battery still works. I will try your idea of pluging into a radio (for the speakers) and the charging cord directly into the wall outlet. Thank you for the idea.

Spotify has become my favorite music app since you can download music for offline use and don't need to be connected to wifi. Don't listen to other people that say you should not be using Spotify on an MP3 player simply because they don't see a need. It's all in what you want to do and how you want to enjoy your music.
