I'm glad to know that. I was sitting here scratching my head when Diane Ladd was quoting how much she was charging for her autograph and book. According to the Celebrity Net Worth website, she's worth $10 million, so I couldn't quite understand why she'd bother collecting $20 for an autograph.
I think the more appropriate question is, who on God's earth would PAY $20 for her autograph? I wouldn't stop at her table if she were signing for free. Not like she was ever a big star or anything .... maybe a C+ list celeb.
I went to that show on Saturday. I don't remember Mamie's table being by the door, however. Because of my budget, I couldn't get all of the autographs I wanted. Petticoat Junction girls won over the Police Woman cast.
Bizarre that you think "old ones" are less desirable for some reason. None of these people would ask for money if you ran into them on the street, but why wouldn't they get paid if they're flying in to sit at a table where you KNOW you will encounter them for a couple of days?
I don't like autographs, but if I were to attend a show like this I would be happy to collect a few since it would give me an unforced opportunity to say something nice to some fine actors.
These shows are invigorating to all. A lot do it because they love to meet the people. As long as the heart beats, NO ONE should be a "Has-been." I also remember from a cartoon the definition of a "has-been." Those who say others are "has-beens" are has-bbens themselves...only they NEVER were.
+Gabe Solo Most people who use the term "has-beens" are actually "never-weres" themselves. And that usually applies not only to talent and success, but also beauty, which is why they feel the need to tear down others' appearances. Ignore them. As for why the stars do the shows, the vast majority do it for the money, and there is no shame in that. Some do it for charity. Some do it for attention. Some do it for a mix of all those reasons. None of those are bad reasons, IMHO.
It seems so desperate to me when has-been celebrities do these shows. It's like a yard sale by people some of us might remember from years past. I wonder if Angie Dickinson needs the money, and if so, it can't be much.
For the most part the stars ARE doing this for the fans. Angie Dickinson probably could use a few extra bucks though. She didn't make that much on Policewoman compared to how much NBC made off that show. Even in Hollywood women are paid less
lonie Anderson still looks good but broke burts ass up in court.atleast sally field stll cares about him.they must have had the cast from wqrp in cincinati
Oh dear, like a car boot sale of has beens........Selling their autographs? Not just for the money, but in case they are forgotten in most cases!.........More face lifts than you could safely shake a stick at, well you wouldn't put any of them near a naked flame ......
Angie & the cast of Policewoman are
Great.
I Love it.
It's fun meeting these stars and be able to chat w/ them, but if you were to buy all their autographs you'd go broke!
Joseph B and just autographs and no photos as well
great to see the cast of police woman together again.

I think you have to keep making as much money in the business
Go away disrespectful Stacy.
Diane Ladd donates her signing money to charity!
I still love Angie.
Me2
I'm in my early sixties, and I love me some Mamie Van Doren! Attractive, sharp, and witty still.
I went to that show on Saturday. I don't remember Mamie's table being by the door, however. Because of my budget, I couldn't get all of the autographs I wanted. Petticoat Junction girls won over the Police Woman cast.
Keith Coogan's dad was Jackie Coogan aka Uncle Fester on the Addams Family...
His grand father. I thought he might have some pictures of them together (for sale). I didn't see any.
I cannot believe that people pay for autographs of any star let alone old ones, remember ws they owe you for your loyalty,

Who was the lady sitting beside Earl Holliman? She looks familiar.
Lori Saunders is still beautiful.
Wink Martindale looked pretty youthful: he was 79 years old here.

loooooooooove u angie !!!!!
With a lot of the celebrities they give their proceeds to charities. In some cases though as you say they really do need the money.
Has been celebs?? Wow. FYI, most of them do this for charity. Do your homework man

It's too bad celebrities are reduced to this.
You're right.
Wow Diane Ladd needs the money ...
I cringed at how she handled that photograph handed to her...could see bend it just a little more???
She donates all her proceeds to the ASPCA!
Mamie I saw before.. she was Hot during her time...
