MY OWN LITTLE WORLD -MY OWN LITTLE HOUSE that I could stick into my pocket to take everywhere!!! They were better than doll houses because they had their own little worlds. When I met up with friends we got our polly pockets together and visited each other. On a big sheet of paper I drew footpaths, streets, gardens, playgrounds, and I put my little polly boxes around it. I had the Parisian set too. I kept my polly pockets (I have around 30 old ones) and my 8 year old daughter just loves to play with them (they’re special to her since she’s not always allowed to). It’s EXACTLY like you said. They painted everything so nicely back then! Nowadays the plastic isn’t solid anymore, it breaks quickly because it’s flimsy and it’s just „one piece“, no details at all. First I was soo happy when Mattel brought out (was it 2018?) a new miniature polly again. But looking at her sticky feet and the cheap cases…. I was more like…. meh….😒 Thank you for sharing my childhood memory!!!! I’m also a huge fan of the old my little ponies (kept them too) and Care Bears (also old versions). I could never give these toys away…. even though I’m already 38 🫣
Yeah. Disney is partially to blame. Originally, Mattel was supposed to make Disney toys but they made ever after high and Disney saw this as a competition for their princess doll. So Disney left. Mattel has a smaller budget now
I feel so old being 34 and yes Kerchie I went back to that time when I lived with grandma and not a care in the world. Man watching these videos has to release some oxytocin in our brains I just know it...lol happy times

I think that's why I love your videos. I have the garden surprise and it is one of my favorites. I love the colors and little moveable parts. I love imagining the statue coming to life and taking a stroll through the garden.
Not every garden has a sundial. 😂 I think everyone aspires to having a pond though. The Garden Surprise and Flower Shop are very nice! 👍 I find even the low maintenance gardens to be a lot of work. It's great to have a mini one with no work. ☺️ The detailed painting of the flowers is really neat too. There's always bunnies! I love ♥️ how it's in a hole, very accurate. It should be eating some plants too! 😂

Oh the nostalgia is just washing over me! I lost all of my childhood toys because of a house fire. I have since replaced a few of my old Polly's and even gotten a few that I didn't have as a kid but I really liked... but with them going for such high prices on eBay, I'm unable to get as many as I want. 😢 The only one of these flower ones that I know I had as a kid is the water park. I sometimes would even put water in it. LOL It is possible that I had others and just don't remember. I had sooooo many Polly Pocket sets in the 90s. One random thing that just makes me think: I always thought it was interesting that both classic Polly Pocket and Barbie have a red haired friend named Midge. 🤔 One more random thing: I also do evil things in the Sims! Like putting walls around a pool so people can't get out and drowned, removing the doors so people can't leave the room and keep wetting their pants until they starve to death, or even removing the doors in a house where almost everything might start a fire. Mwahahahahaha. 😈 It's just a game playing it "the right way" is actually kind of boring.
I just love when certain things give me nostalgia, like those cheap grocery store cookies remind me of Christmas events in elementary school. Those cookies taste mediocre but the memories make them taste good. Another evil thing I like to do in The Sims is make them get married, then make one of them cheat right in front of the other one. Why? Because I'm messed up. 🤣💀
In my opinion, the last set is the most beautiful: not only do I like blue the most, but also this French residence captivated me 🥰🤩 it's a pity that there is no interior shown downstairs instead of another garden!
I love your channel. as a kid I only had three vintage polly’s (palomino pony, polly’s school and dolphin island) which I still have but I eventually forgot about them, but upon discovering your channel I ended up digging them out of storage and remembered how cool they were and just wanted more. now I have almost 20 sets and love them all so much. they’re one of the coolest toys ever. your videos are so nice and aesthetic to watch and you’ve made me realise it’s okay to like toys even if you aren’t a kid. so I wanted to say thank you. ❤️✨

It probably has to do with production cost. Even the 30th anniversary Polly Pocket they released wasn't as high quality as the original.
