Great, informative video Rob, great to see all the steps involved.
    Now ; indulge me . . . " Kirsty MacColl just told me, 'there's a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis' ". . . .
    Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

You just know that "As dead as Elvis", is going to be heard a lot more in the wood now...... A good way to carry the saw blade is taped to the inside of you belt (36 inch is not a problem for me.....). Good stealth tip. 👍👍

No bloopers, Rob? Missed your cursing 🙂At bushcraftgatherings I usually give bucksaw making workshops. Made a few models, but maybe I'll pay tribute to this one with my tribute knife at the end of april ;-) Cheers.

ELVIS is not DEAD, he only left the building. Nice job, but have cut myself on a few various SILKY blades, those vertical cuts with a long blade looked decidedly dangerous to me. Safer with the Swiss Army Knife perhaps. Still, you got a result.

Silkys are terrible for going down grain.

Silky doesn't like long grain sawing I've found too.
Wonder why Mors prefered a V centre over a single stick.

@@thewoodlandschoolltd3999 one cross brace is fine on a short blade 21" but 30-36" really need two , especially if you make the saw tall to cut larger diameter timber.
