Hi Dan. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Thank you for the kind words as well. I really do enjoy an array of music, genres and time periods. Stay tuned for more great records. Take care. Steve
Thanks again. That’s great that you’re learning about labels and reissues. There’s always something to learn in this hobby. I never stop learning and I’ve been collecting records for over 25 years. ✌🏽
This is too cool.. An LA trip might be in order ! We arrived in SF last night from Singapore and taking our time flying home to Reno later this afternoon.
Some great finds there. The cover art on those Count Basie records is amazing- I love that cover of Basies Back in Town ! Looking forward to seeing what else you unearth!
Thank you for subscribing, Andy. I was thrilled to find those Basie records in such beautiful condition. The cover art work and photography from those periods is in a league all its own. We appreciate your viewership. I’m going back this Sunday. Stay tuned. Take care, Steve & Ryan
I knew you’d dig this lot, Richard! You and I have very similar tastes in music as well as food it seems. Check out The Album Swing Me, Ella Johnson With Buddy Johnson Orchestra. It’s a winner all the way. Right up your ear alley. Thanks for watching and commenting. See ya round.
What is Distortions ? Killer Basie with the Warhol art cover 🎵 I do have Basie Jazz . I love Major Lance.. Cool pick ! I have that Odetta as well.. What a gorgeous Jackie Wilson.. I can be there in 10 hours ! 😂
Distortions is one of the greatest psych, prog, experimental albums of 1971 by Italian Composer and violinist Armando Sciascia going by the alias H. Tical. Amazing music! TH-cam the album. I think you’ll dig it.
I will listen, Steve ! I Recently I learned about Amon Duul ( German electronic ) and Popol Vuh.. great early electronic experimental music out of Germany as well. Both 1971 like your Distortions. You guys in the VC have turned me on to music that I would have missed otherwise..
-''Don't worry i'll get you a couple of bottles of wine'' (drives off)!- Some great picks and by the looks of it many more videos just on that lot, good stuff 👍
Glad to have you back, Steve. The Shelly Manne album is gorgeous.I'm not familiar with the Ella Johnson album; I love the jacket. The art direction of the 50's and 60's holds up well. Thanks for sharing that great photo! The Count is amazing. I love that Warhol jacket; what a score! Basie, Armstrong, and Ellington - the masters!! The jackets look so clean. I listen to the Newport concert often. I love a good comp as well. I own the End title; great music on that one. All three of the Jackie Wilson titles are great. Nice in the shrink! Come on, who doesn't enjoy a delicious side salad.😂 I wan't to go to Ryan's place! 🥗🥗🥗
Hi Mark! Thanks for the support. I really am fortunate to be best friends with Ryan my business partner. Him and I are close as brothers. I’ve been a big Basie fan since I was young. Count was always playing in our home and at my aunts and grandmas house. I’ll be over there again on Sunday. Check out Ella Johnson. She has an amazing voice and really knows how to rock. See ya around. ✌🏽🫶🏽
