It is here that DHAN Karunai Illam - the Home for the Destitute children, decides to fill in the gaps.
DHAN KARUNAI ILLAM was founded by Mrs. Jean Watson, New Zealand who visited India on her ole search during the 1980s. it is situated at Nilakottai Village on the way to Kodaikanal.
DHAN Karunai Illam (DKI) is 32 years home for destitute children of Tamil Nadu and around 600 children passed out from our illam since inception.
The vision of Karunai Illam is to free young and disadvantaged people from the limitations of poverty and ignorance so that they can find satisfaction and enrichment in their lives and express their full potential.
