Give it a try and let me know how it turns out! I wish I would have separated the sinew into small bundles before rehydrating them! It would have been much easier and they wouldn’t knot together
When you do sinew, I recommend doing that first layer like you did(but I much prefer knox gelatin glue). Let it cure a week or so, then rough it up and go over it with another course to fill in the fissures left in the first layer. Then you want to let it cure at least a month or more. It takes that sinew quite a long time to fully cure and get the benefits from it.
Also, take two pieces of veg tanned leather(about 3-4" wide and 6-8" long), double glue them back to back then fold into a U shape for your vice. Never have to worry about marring with the jaws. :)
Thank you! I’ll have to give it a try on my next build. I honestly had no idea what I’d was doing but decided to video it for feedback like this! Thank you again
Well done.
This is just what I need to know
Try it out!
if you try this again, I suggest reverse stringing your bow to add reflex.
That’s genius! I’ll be doing that next time! thank you for the tip!
I’m fixing to try this on mine! Let me know if there was anything you wish you would’ve known before doing it!

@@NelsonCobb sounds good. I have the leg sinew instead of back sinew. Just about finished processing it, it’s a tough job haha!
