Thankyou very much for your video, chainsaw and old Timberjack are true old skool timber cutting partners, we had a Timberjack 330 here in Australia in the early 80's and the amount and size of the hardwood we cut and snug with our little Timberjack was unbelievable, keep up the good work young fella and keep the tradition alive, awesome👍👍
I had an identical eton TJ 353. I loved that machine, and cut a fair amount of Maine rock maple with it myself. Thanks for the video. It brought back many memories.
It's been a breath of fresh air compared to that nasty heat we've had this summer. Love that machine screaming through the woods. Congrats on the subs...keep up vids like these and it'll take right off. Take care.
I think those cows thought you had some hay on board! LOL Some nice old maples , they looked heavy, but the timberjack handled them pretty good. Take care
Need to drive "Cow"-fully in these parts. You should be yelling Moooooove, Moooooove! HAHAHA In all seriousness, I just love hearing that Timberjack skidder engine. What a fricken work horse.
I ran a 225 for 12 years back in the day. It was a bit older than yours. 1965 I believe. They are one tuff little machine. I miss it sometimes. I have a cushy job at a sawmill now running a wheel loader with a cab and heat and air conditioning. There are a lot of old timberjacks still in use around here.they just don't seem to quit. great video. I subscribed.
You guys are pretty good seem like you're alright guys who do a good job and don't have big arrogant heads like a lot of people do I do the same thing everyday by myself and everything goes pretty good I hope you continue to do a good job and congratulations on your views
@@mccormickfamilyfarm5511 yeah sure don't get you very far to be I have a big head out there in the woods that's for sure I seems like you are a pretty good guy listening to you talk to her and stuff I'll try to send you a video if I couldn't get it to go through nice talking to you
I miss that work soo much, spent 20 years logging n.e.k of vt, 240 jack. Best an worst days of my life, lol. Hopefully I can do it again some day soon. Im still swinin a saw just another line of work., thanks for keeping it the real way of loggin
haha I certainly understand the "best and worst" but it always seems the best wins out! Although there are times I wish I was cutting wood with a machine there is just something about a cable skidder and saw that cant be replaced...
@@mccormickfamilyfarm5511 i 100% agree, for me hind sight is 20/20. I miss it an should have stuck with it. Working alone just man an machine an Working with an around nature is the best.
Perfect video set up for Sierra Club....skidder idling belching diesel fumes while smoky chainsaw drops a huge old growth tree. Camera switches to the deer, then to you grabbing an AR10 with thirty round mag from a scabbard in the skidder, one shot and drop that deer.
Are you using Jonsered chain saws? They look red in your videos, and I know they are popular in Canada in your neck of the woods. In the 80's I used them here in Oregon along with Husky's and Stihl.
You getting into any birds eye maple down in your neck of the woods?? We got lucky last winter and got into some!!!!im up in skowhegan area. Love your videos and your content. Keep up the good work. Over n out.
That’s some big stuff! Have you thought about adding maple syrup to your operation? You must have sugar maple there as well. Also, maybe add a short clip in one of your videos about the controls on your skidder. Looks like it’s joystick controls. Thanks
We would love to do a little syrup just for our own family. There are a decent amount of producers around us, but Ive always enjoyed syrup season because it breaks up that long wait between winter and spring! I will certainly do a video of the skidder and show you what its all about
Good work ! That timberjack looks to be in really good shape, what year is it?... I use a crawler, so your years ahead of me, and a frick 00 ..... Thanx fir taking the time to make the videos
Congrats on the subs, you will get many more...........on a totally different subject, I am looking for some 1X6 inch 16 footers for some livestock fencing, is that something you would or could have or know anyone in the area that may have that? Thanks Bro, congrats again, Joe from Winslow.
We need 40 16 footers preferably 2 inch by 6 inch for the winter paddock to get started, more later, can we switch over to private texting, I am at 509 9530. Thanks Joe
I like them a lot, I dont think I would go into the woods with anything else if I had to choose. Ive never tried another brand so Im certainly biased haha
To bad the land owner let all those trees go past prime looks like alot of hardwood logs gone by . It's like a garden they have to be weeded and harvested.
I noticed you measure your logs on the landing any particular reason for that? I measure logs in the woods to try to minimize blocks on the landing. Enjoy videos you do a great job!! I cut my teeth on a timberjack run JD now!!
Oh trust me Im a big advocate for saving any sugar maple, and Im going to leave alot of those big ones behind. They sure have a lot of history in them, if only trees could talk

Seems like you are really enjoy the tj.
I ran a 225 jack for 2 years i didn't own it but i was impressed with it . My own skidders were all franklin
I have a neighbor who still runs a franklin and he loves it!

What horsepower is the Timberjack? Great videos. I love old equipment working.
Where do you take the for pulp
Where did you guys go?
Nice video. How are the pulp wood prices. I hear all the wood prices are low in the Adirondacks
Oh theyre pretty poor, and some weeks Im lucky if I can even get a ticket to send a load of pulp. Just gotta weather the storm I suppose
@@mccormickfamilyfarm5511 hopeing things will get better for the wood prices. 🤟
Awesome!
Do you harvest deer from your property there my friend that was a nice. NYC
Oh we sure do!
I could use all those limbs and tops you left behind for firewood up here in Dover-Foxcroft
Good work ! That timberjack looks to be in really good shape, what year is it?...

Hello from Nova Scotia. How you like the 562?
I like them a lot, I dont think I would go into the woods with anything else if I had to choose. Ive never tried another brand so Im certainly biased haha
Good to hear. I'm thinking about picking a 562 up this fall. Keep the videos coming!

Can't beat the sound of the Detroit. Is that a 353?
How's the family doing if you're doing well that's good
Doing great, thanks for asking!
Are you in maine
Sure am!
@@mccormickfamilyfarm5511 nice love the vids
Where hv you gone.
I here maine
My mom lives in Easton ME
How far up in maine?
Belfast-Bangor area
I’d rather see the big old maples be tapped than cut but they do only last so long. Lot of hollow ones there.
Oh trust me Im a big advocate for saving any sugar maple, and Im going to leave alot of those big ones behind. They sure have a lot of history in them, if only trees could talk
Yup, if only. Cutting up a big one for firewood now, gotta be 48” on the stump, 6” of solid wood all around. Amazing how they can keep growing.
WHAT YEAR IS TIMER JACK???
from the best of my research it appears to be a 1978
