    i upgraded mine to 48dp 70 spur and 33 pinion on a 17.5 sensored motor , man it flies like the wind now , and sounds so much smoother than the .06 mod

      could you provide manufacturer and/or a part number for the spur? i'd like to set up my XV like this.

    Nice. You going to upgrade turnbuckles as well as I've found mine keep popping off and as a result I've had to order new dog bones (driveshaft) for the rear right. And I had a look at mine. The pinion gear came loose so just threadlocked it and all running smoothly. Side not. Running a brushless ansmann rs 13T. With master smacker buggy wheels and also used the asterion suspension that came with the kit for a bit more ground clearance. Wouldn't advice hopping up suspension as it makes it a bit more top heavy. Haha.

      I've not had a problem with the ball ends, but I've only managed a couple of rough bashes with the stock motor, they're quite soft plastic so perhaps they'll stretch. If Traxxas ball ends could be squeezed in using the stock turnbuckles it would be pretty much bulletproof.

    Yay I finally achieved the same amount of ground clearance with my tt01 compared to that xv01 the only bad thing is idk why my suspension is now more stiffer and I'm using the weaker once

    Wow what a fiddly session! It sure helps for noobs like me to have a motor close to the esc! 10/10 for the wire mods, sheesh!

    Hey my friend, which chassi you consider better for all around rally, tt-01, xv-01 or df-03Ra? Considering realistic look, maintenance and reliability? Thanks a lot!

      If your budget covers it the XV-01 is by far the best for rally.

    On my xv01pro I'm currently running a castle creations 6900kV BL motor, but hopping to go to 7000kV soon since I can no longer find a 9000kV BL motor for sale.

      Crikey, how does the belt hold up to that?

    • @mannyspeedy16
      @mannyspeedy16 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty well actually, no skipping or anything. Actually a friend of mine is running 9000kV and that breaks the idler gear, and on full throttle the belt skips.
      You could try bumping up the power further on and see how it performs, also not sure if your xv01 shares the same belt as the Pro version of the chassis.

      i had a look on modelsport uk and ive ordered the traxxas ball ends and got longer screws haven't fitted it yet but looks like it will solve the problem of the buckles popping off and I would recommend the slipper clutch too. you get more control when breaking and turning.

    Small tip, use some twonside tape on gear cover to prevent dust and sand to fall inside.

    Have you ever taken any 4wd rally cars on an off road track? If so from your experience are there any tire brands best for traction that would fit the current tamiya wheel as I hear the current rally block tires aren't that great for off road racing?

    • @RCMojoTV
      @RCMojoTV  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't no, I've not been involved in RC racing for a long long time. However, the trick when entering a new class was to simply see what other people at the track are running, and see how well they're doing. I should think the HPI #4470 tyres would do the job in a lot of cases.

    Any mod to easily insert battery and connectors in the battery room? It is a little difficult

    • @RCMojoTV
      @RCMojoTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've come across a couple of XV01's where the top of the battery box has been cut out for top access, then Velcro is used to keep the battery in. They don't look great, but it is quicker to swap the pack

    A smaller Rx like a Spektrum sr3100 leaves plenty of room for the capacitor. Or pretty much any Rx other than a huge brick .....
