    This is so rad Rex! I just got a Reedy Radon 2 15turn 3 pole brushed motor for my TT01, I think it will be a bit quicker than the torque tuned. As soon as the rain stops out here I’ll be setting up a track out here too.

    Great video again Rex 👍Out of all the guys I watch you are the one I wish lived near me. I think we would have an amazing time just driving around a car park track like this putting our tamiyas through their paces, comparing different chassis and trying different setups. Our families might miss us though 😆 Cheers.

    Gotta keep yourself fed my dude, if you stand up quick, and feel dizzy, its low blood pressure. I'm somewhat tall myself, and have that same issue if I'm low on energy. XV-01 seems to be doing all the XV-01 things quite nicely, gotta love how it moves. :D

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rexrcs I know, I know! The Cross is currently getting a few customisation parts and I will be making some new videos soon. But my main issue at the moment is the status of my channel. I hope it isn't too rude to ask but did you get successfully monetised?

    • @rexrcs
      @rexrcs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BlackSeaRC what parts are you customizing? whats the issue? whats the status? what does that even mean?
      and no its not rude in my opinion to ask questions known as taboo. I reveived my 4000 watch hours before hitting 1000 subs, and yes I chose to monetize the channel, I must say though I had ZERO intention on hitting 1k subs or monetizing, however considering the cost of creating "new" content I thought maybe if I could monetize I could create new content instead of the same cars, but I'll show you, it's pennies...when is it ok to open a paypal donation account? lol

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rexrcs The current status is that TH-cam is no longer promoting my channel or its content due to the current political situation. This means that although they have been showing adverts on my videos for the last 12 months and I have almost 10,000 watch hours, my views have fallen off a cliff edge. I was building subscribers at a rate of almost 100 a month and that is now down to 1 a day if I am lucky. Views and watch time are close to 50% less. Of course when you are investing a huge amount of time and effort (plus money) over a period of years, it would be nice to get some kind of recognition, even if it is a small amount of pennies that can be put towards a new model or some accessories. Yes, it is a hobby and a passion and I love doing it, but the current situation is nothing I have any control over.
      As for the AT4V, I have been adding some detail parts to try to improve the scale realism. My plan was to fit an interior but this hasn't really gone to plan and has been the main cause of the delay. The dashboard and seating I ordered doesn't really fit very well dimensionally and I'm in two minds about whether to attempt to modify it or look for an alternative. Since these items rarely give any indication of dimensions, it is just luck whether they are going to fit or not.
      Regarding new RC vehicles, I currently have a problem buying anything that originates from USA, UK, EU or JP. That limits my options just a little bit!
      Anyway, a slightly long reply and hopefully you will keep checking for my new videos. There will be some coming soon whatever the situation! Cheers Rex!

    Still loving your videos Rex. This winter (UK) I'm going to be racing the XV-01 indoors on a carpet / wooden floor. What diff oils do you recommend?

    • @rexrcs
      @rexrcs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is it grey or black carpet? Typically very stiff in front and much looser in rear, to start anyways, our driving styles may call for different setups but if you start 500,000 front and 30,000-100,000 rear we can work from there. Stiff in front to keep the car stable in and out of corners, it hurts really tight corners though but very controllable. Rear looser so it can pivot around the inside wheel when cornering, if you want more on and off throttle rotation, you can stiffen the rear diff more. If youre not getting enough initial turn in you can loosen the front. Suspension settings are a great way to tune and less aggressive in behaviour changes compared to diff oils

    • @kevin_redfern
      @kevin_redfern 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rexrcs Amazing, thanks very much. It's black carpet. I have a few months before I race it so I'll get in touch again when I do. Thanks once again, I really appreciate the help!

      @kevin_redfern 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rexrcs Sorry Rex, I'm back again with more questions. I've been looking back at last years track design which can be seen below. And I was wondering if you would still recommend starting with 500k front for the XV-01?
      99% of the time the track is full carpet however every now and again we take a few sections up as shown below.
      (th-cam.com/video/m5PmfIG3qVo/w-d-xo.html)

    • @rexrcs
      @rexrcs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevin_redfern that is a tight track with a lot of hairpins! In my “brain simulation” I would start the front with 100k and go down from there, the rear I’d start with 10k and go up from there, bare with me as I dont know how you drive nor how your car feels. I say 100k front to keep it stable when entering the hairpins, i say 10k rear diff and go up from there because higher rear diff oil will help rotate the rear around corners on throtttle, off throttle though you will notice less steering, this all depends on how you drive. I will watch more of your driving videos

      @@rexrcs Huge thanks for all of your help. I raced the XV01 for the first time today and finished 3rd overall. Much more competitive than my TT02. I noticed the back end slid out more than the TT02. Is this due to the front motor or maybe the diff oils I'm using?

    • @rexrcs
      @rexrcs  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevin_redfern np! What shock oils and diff oils do you have, yes the xv-01 has a natural tendency to slide its rear around from factory. Where is it sliding? Corner entry, mid corner or corner exit?

    • @kevin_redfern
      @kevin_redfern ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rexrcs I'm using 300cst shock oil front and back. 100k front and 10k rear. It's loosing it mid corner. It's not sliding 180 degrees but I can feel it loosing the back end on a lot of corners.
