I've been doing this for years. Probably got the idea from the Maka a mix book. I buy 5lbs of hamburger at a time and cook it up and store in Ziploc freezer bags because we go through it so fast. I also love the Mexican meat mix recipe.
I do this with hamburger and with ground pork, Italian and breakfast sausage that I get during the groundhog sale in February at a small IGA. Normally put up around 50 pounds total and it lasts an entire year in the deep freeze.
I give the ingredients and measurements along with a couple of my own tips in the video. It's a published recipe, so I can show you, but I shouldn't copy it in writing.
:( ordered the book and it wasn't the hard back! It was the paper covered version and it does not contain the "Ground Meat Mix" It does have the "Meat Sauce Mix", which calls for "hot" ketchup, what ever that is:) Have ordered the HARD cover.
