A game to watch indeed because in this match we had: 2 oracles that stayed alive one hour, probes killing tumors, an overlord cannon fodder control group,... and of course the lowko manoeuver! In the end it could have gone both ways a match with an epic end!
what we'd actually need is a 'toss map that looks like a giant Momma ship to actually show that "SHE THICC" and then to laugh at the unit being one blip on the minimap that looks like her^^
@@user-nh2bf4to7g it's already nerfed to the ground. Vortex gone, unit itself is no longer cloaked, cloaking is no longer always active and that slow ability is a joke, Did I mention that it does only 13 damage?
"I have transfuse piss and blinding clouds" "ok, GG" Jesus Christ, I choked on my smoke. My sides hurt. Probably the best sentence I've ever seen in a SC game, god damn.
I never expected Goblin to go the distance, and the last 2 minutes of him just trying to work out if he has anything an that little banter is hilarious.. love it. This is what Starcraft viewers want to see. The human side when they're scrambling to see if anything will work...
Every long game with Zerg goes this way... turtle, turtle, run away just to hide behind spores, just to than YOLO in at random moment which could have happened 30 minutes ago and end it, cuz the armies stayed the same only few spores died in those 30 minutes.... These games ALWAYS end with zerg win, because of their spellcasters
I can’t believe he didn’t recall his army the second he saw the surround coming. Had he done that, he surely would have won. We have perfect vision but there’s 0 reason for him to not smell a losing fight on creep too deep and recall out of there to the shield batteries and push again. Really disappointed, this should have been a Protoss win.
A very frustrating watch. Raynor is probably my fave, but I can't help but root for 'toss because they've struggled for so long. Goblin threw it away over and over. He could have settled the southern expand earlier. He could have switched to the northern expand. He could have maintained his slow advance and made Reynor's sarcophagus smaller and smaller. Could have made a new archon or two. Could have split off a strike squad and gone after Reynor's remaining structures. Instead, he did the only thing that hands the game to zerg in this scenario every time.
The end game was not played on good terms. Reynor REFUSED to go on the offensive because he thought he might lose. Goblin was the one who showed great gamesmanship and went on the offensive only after Reynor refused to. Goblin was the true victor in this game. Reynor is a coward.
I actually agree with the premise here, that Reynor knew he'd lose and therefore wanted to delay the game until Goblin made a mistake, but I think the sheer volume of other misplays such as mis-rallied units, wasteful trades, and over-commitment onto creep killed Goblin, rather than any exceptional moves Reynor made. It doesn't help that this leads to Protoss perpetually looking like they're one mistake away from losing from a dominant position, while Zerg can waste an entire army and be maxed out again in less than a minute. It's not actually true, but goodness it's frustrating to watch Toss drop the ball this hard from small incremental losses fifteen minutes ago, while Zerg can be a threat the whole bloody game.
This game was wild. As Zerg I tend to shit on Corruptors for being worthless in most matchups/situations by being the only air superiority unit hard-countered by opposing enemy air units, but this game was a great example of how the slow attack speed/spin up speed for Tempests and Carriers mean that if you aren't careful you could lose them instantly. The Lowko Maneuver is way more effective than I thought it would be, Carriers are practically a liability or just completely dead supply if you have them all bunched up like that without Archons. Also Neural Parasite is unbelievably strong if you're able to pull it off. What an amazing game.
Ghosts turn the tides in a RvZ or TvP - "Wow, yeah Ghosts are very strong" Corrupters single-handedly dominate the sky while being relatively cheap, supply-low, and low effort "wow, yeah Raynor is doing really well". My foot 😂
It’s both counterintuitive yet fitting if you think about it. The Protoss are super high tech and could already take over the galaxy, and most of their power comes from the empire they’ve already built up. They even have access to infinite energy through the warp in the lore, but they’re also held back by their traditions and systems and values that prevent them from absolutely dominating the other worlds. Because of this, I think it’s actually very fitting that Protoss have the most terrifying deathball, least cost efficiency, and is also the race that can lose most often through pure hubris
Goblin's strategy: do everything to hide skytoss build, then build 4-5 carriers, kill 2 hydras and 1 extractor and pull back for a minute to give raynor time to adapt.
I think I am strongly biased, as I onyl watch SCII, and never play myself. But with games getting casted, I feel like lategame PvZ always goes down like this. Protoss builds carriers, vipers and corruptor chase them down, trimming the numbers and the end.
Its so weird to me how we grew up in what I thought was completely different cultures, but are so similar in personality and pop culture references. Wherever you were born, we all grew up on the same Internet.
I was wondering why no one ever used infested terrans anymore! I thought it was just nerved to the ground and was not worth it competitively! Never knew they removed the spell...
At 47:40 did Reynor just mess up his positioning with the corrupters? They join the fight so late - have to wonder how that fight would have went if they were ready for the engagement instead.
Toss units cannot trade at all lmao, always need more immortal to ultras on the ground to deal with them, but immortals can't attack so they are useless
So statis wards can't affect Ultras, but Vipers can abduct a Mother ship, idk man, that sounds imbalanced as hell, Vipers shouldn't be able to abduct capital ships such as Carriers, Tempests BCs, and Motherships.
I'll even give that Ultras can be allowed to ignore Stasis. It's silly, but I'll grant it. But for real, the Mothership is just too damn big a target to justify being easily abducted and killed by one cheeky Viper that can then eat some HP off a building to basically make the spell free.

@@concernedroadrat800 amp is absolutely unnecessary. Look at the moments where nothing is happening and reynor is still spamming away at 800 apm. All this is simply not true. To be fair, if it couldn't be abducted they'd have to nerf it into the ground. Abduct is basically the only counterplay that Zerg has vs motherships.

Reynor winning a game with the Lowko maneuver is a highlight of Lowko's entire career lol
Crazy how some games come down to just a few minerals and gas.

This is so annoying to see again. When the game comes into this kind of late game, eventually Protoss have no chance.
Reynor found out about carriers at 7:35 in the 1st video. He sent something into the main that was attacked by them
When will the Protoss race finally be balanced?
