the only HP game I ever played. As a kid I was so afraid of the Orange Snails bc who the hell would deem it appropriate for SNAILS to come zooming straight at the player at like 50km/h.
It's still great though, as you said most challenges are interesting and the music is just top notch

What a coincidence that you make fair content of my favorite games. I remember loving Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when it came out on PC, I played the whole game before seeing the movie, and when I finally saw it, the experience was even better, I literally felt like I was living inside Howarts 🤭

This was definitely the best HP game! My first experience with it was actually a demo version that was a single level that, iirc, wasn’t actually in the full game. Me and my siblings had so much fun trying to take the gnomes out of the areas where they were meant to be. Hours of entertainment.

Chamber of secrets was the pinnacle of HP games, in all consoles. The perfect balance where it was still based on the book, but starting to take shape on the foundation of the movie.

I loved the HP1-3 games for the PC as a kid! What really amazes me is that these ran on the Unreal (1) engine - same as the 1998 hyperviolent FPS Unreal, Unreal Tournament '99 and Deus Ex (2000) - which I also loved growing up. My favorite was Prisioner of Azkaban because I was obsessed with the movie. Finding secret areas and the card collecting were great in all of these games too. The soundtrack is also amazingly done by Jeremy Soule (most notably known for his work in The Elder Scrolls titles)

I still remember spending whole summer playing both games, but PS1 version. Wake up early, grandma makes me pancakes and we play Harry Potter ... Damn.
