    Absolutely love these quicker startup tutorials but it would be really helpful if your tutors ran through those initial setup elements (ie. the emitter being an object shape / setting collision surfaces for planes etc)
    It's a little difficult to follow these more complex tutorials when your scene moves in a completely different manner to the one you're following.
    Generally speaking though amazing stuff as always: more please!

      Absolutely what I was saying! Looks more like an advertisement than a tutorial. And the frustrating thing is nobody else really does insydium tutorials

      Exactly! - or provide the scene so we can see those initial settings. The number of particles the emitter is spitting out and the scale of the scene can have a huge influence on final looks. If you make this scene with the default sizes of objects and settings you won't actually get any sheeting even if you use the settings you can see in the sheeter.

    Insanely close to RealFlow! Congrats to this. I never needed fluids as realistic that RF creates so I never got a license. It’s just too costly. $4,000 is just too much! But this is in the realm for freelance artists. Reasonable price and a non-convoluted workflow with quick results. A total dream.

    This is gonna be a awesome new release! Love the creative control you get with xpSplash & xpSheeter. Just wished that the OpenVDB Mesher would give a better result for the final output.

    I dind't expect this to be available this soon....one little thing I was looking for though was a way to "ripple" fluids like water. I've seen realflow doing that and it looks absolutely realistic. Add that as a modifier and RealflowForC4D is basically dead.

    • @KiR_3d
      @KiR_3d 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! How is it vs Houdini?

    • @WPSoul
      @WPSoul 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KiR_3d Houdini can beat both very easy especially in large simulations. But I like to use X-particles in small simulations for motion design, it's more easy to control it for something which is not physically correct, like splashes in air, small collisions, etc

    • @KiR_3d
      @KiR_3d 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WPSoul Thanks for the answer. Actually I've meant concretely "is it capable of doing the same "trick" and is it easier?"
      As I know the hobby/student licence is just ~90$ for Houdini.

    • @WPSoul
      @WPSoul 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@KiR_3d if you are starting to learn 3d - Houdini is your choice. It's much harder to learn than X-particles or Realflow, but it doesn't have any limitations at all and you can do everything in Houdini which is not possible in any other software. But, still I like XP and RF, because it's more faster to use them for some work, especially for webdesign and promo videos, more easy to setup cool sexy renders and not large sim staff. So, in few words, all software have own purpose and positive/negative sides

    • @WPSoul
      @WPSoul 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cool thing also that you can combine Houdini and XP. Cinema 4d can good workflow for alembic files which you can generate in houdini.
