true now days maplestory is just full of grinders who doesn't even want to talk and enjoy the game they see this game as grind material until they reach what they want or quit
@@johnvuu4679 They still do, the mundane quests of old are still there, and then some. They give just as much irrelevant exp/item rewards as before, except now there's plot/lore stuff to get into.
I used to love classic Maplestory. The grind was real. It would take you a few days at level 30+ to gain a couple of levels lol. A week at higher levels. Good time fighting at zombies at lvl 50+. Would waste hours and hours doing that.
Omg I rmb hopping around outside chatting and immediately going into the cabin once I heard the music. And then waiting anxiously inside wondering if the fight was still going on. And we would send somebody outside to check it out but they'd never return. That's how u knew 😂 Man the 2006-2011 days were the best
There's dozens of private servers out there. Problem is after about a week everyone remembers that old maple was a grind riddled hell that was only tolerable thanks to the early, tight net internet environment at the time. Maple and other MMOs doubled as social media.
It will never happen. There is no demand for it in Korea as the game currently has a HUGE player base. And if you didnt know, North America Nexon only follows behind what Korea does so a official classic server for GMS will honestly never happen.
A comment like this can only be left by some one who never did end game bossing in current day maple. lol Modern day bosses are way harder then anything in classic.
try Lomian bosses now a days. lol old maple was by far better imo but these new bosses make me feel like a primitive boomer. I just started playing recently and this game is actually hard af now

you actually could very much hit the entire map at once using blizzard or genesis or meteor shower
Ah yeah, the good ol days of spending 6 hours of grinding to get 40% exp at even low-mid levels, because somehow that was "fun".

You can still feel the grind after level 200 which is the real beginning 😂
when i was 8 it took me a whole year to get level 30 tbh i was mostly just making friends in henesys though not focusing on the levels lol
