One of the best places I've been in my life! Summer of 2009, I'm never gonna forget this place! After watching Parliament Hill on TV so many times, you never know how big the place is when you're actually there.
that was pretty cool, i went to ottawa 8 weeks ago and ended up meeting the prime minister, it made my whole ottawa/parliament experience pretty fucken awesome

It is sad that members on the Military that served 35+ years would get a flag on their retirement but now they are just on a list and can get on in over 100 years. I think there should be a change maybe for those injured while on duty for Military, Police, Fire and Medical.
the flags on top of parliment are taking down everyday and a new one put up, they are then given to whoever wants them, you simply mail parliment and ask for the flag, you'll get it for free but its a 7 year waiting list well that was 3 years ago, so its probably close to a 9 year waiting list now. hope this helps

I went to Ottawa for my gr.8 trip. loved it. I saw jack layton :D and steven harper's parade of cars..:)
I would've thought there were at least 1.000.000 or at least 500.000 visitors a year inside the Parliament buildings !
