The fret board has some fantastic grain pattern in it. I also like your logo design a lot. The Bass turned out very nice and has a great sound as well.
When the inlays are also made of wood, it shouldn't make a difference whether you cut the frets or do the inlay first. I just like to cut the frets first because it helps me position the inlays where I want them.
I just used one of these and rounded over the corners with a file www.amazon.com/Irwin-Tools-87924-Short-Spade/dp/B0002XCEBS/ref=sr_1_15?crid=57ZCOTFMO9X1&keywords=1.5+inch+paddle+bit&qid=1678110561&sprefix=1.5+paddle+bits%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-15

Hand crafted with old school wood working Tools built the way they should be No CNC All hand and Eye. Beautiful Bass
Great 👍
Love the bass be nice to have thanks for sharing
Very nice bass, original yet simple and logical shape. Very nice woods and build. To my taste the head is a little too short
Looks amazing and I love the tone. Very nice.
Have you built a fretless bass? if not, could you. Excellent work as always. Good 'ealth, John Warner, Australia.
Hello, thank you for al the videos :) Could you please explain why the fret cutting is done before the inlay work?

@@OrbitalGuitars Thank you v much for explaining :)
Can this be made as a six string fretless? Or, 7 string fretless, tuned C to Low F#?
Orbital Guitars,..How much would you charge for a bass like this ? 🤔
wow es hermoso!
nice choice of woods and design, what material the nut is made from? regards.
It's a TUSQ XL nut
beautiful work. curious if you used templates to get the frettboard and neck radii to specific shape or did you "eyeball" them?
The fretboard was shaped with a 12 inch radius block. No template for the neck.
What is that bit called that you used to make the recess for the control knobs?

@@OrbitalGuitars Thanks, man!
You can make one doble guitar just like jimmy page.....please
I bet this bass weighs a ton.
It does. I've thought about carving a bunch more material off the back to try and reduce the weight.
Et le chevalet n'est pas à la masse ?!! bizarre !!!
Davie504 should play this bass.
