It was an amazing moment, when she went on her tantrum uzui stated "your not the one I'm here for, your to weak for an upper moon" after beheading her with ease, he was aware there was another Upper Moon but didn't know where it was, one of the most dope "ONII CHANs" in anime history
She is worthy of being Upper Rank Six, but since she got beaten by Tengan so easily he didn’t think she was the real one

@ЖОПА no, the only ones who can easily do so are 3, 2 and 1. Everyone else, he has a shot at defeating with help of course. Especially when you consider that gyotaru is actually a lot stronger than his rank would let you believe.
It is a fact that muzan outright stated that gyotaru wouldn't have lost if he wasn't dragging his useless sister around, that and the fact that the only hashira who are stronger than uzui either developed a curse mark after this fight or are that stone guy speaks of his strength.
He was just unlucky that gyotaru is purpose built to defeat him: a dual wielding opponent who is physically much stronger than him, is just as skilled with his weapons, specialises in poison and has ranged options pretty much nullify all his advantages. The fact that he lasted so long is actually impressive considering all the above

Before Daki and Gyutaro, Demons weren’t known for having familial relationships because they aren’t allowed to. Rui’s case was special because they weren’t family at all. However, Gyutaro and Daki ARE family. So seeing a sudden shift in rank shook everyone to the core, including the actual characters.
You absolutely have a point there i notice how gyutaro and daki are the only ones who have a family relationship unlike the others like Douma, Akaza especially for rui aswell it kinda shocks me too cause i've never really had seen an upper demon who has a family relative tho

I don’t know if people could catch it but Dakis VA gave her about 7 personalities during this ark she kept shifting her voice tone speaking style and nuances she absolutely lost it. Hands down one of the best VAs I’ve seen in a while

This villain duo was amazing. They were like tanjiro and nezuko. He cared for his sister as much or more than tanjiro than he decided to be evil. They were sad but beautiful

The animation from this scene is absolutely mindblowing. The voice acting is amazing. Great season
Gyutaro was born with congenital syphilis when he was human, hence the looks.
His name comes from the word "Gyu", referring to the barkers who would entice customers to enter the entertainment district. After working as a "Gyu"/barker, he took the word and used it to name himself as Gyutaro, with "Taro" being a common ending for Japanese male names.
Despite the fact the siblings are two different people, the two have essentially a single body. Even though Gyutaro is inactive for the majority of the time, he is still more powerful than his sister who is an active predator.
Gyutaro possesses the ability to manipulate his own flesh to a certain extent. He mainly uses this ability to shape his flesh into an extremely sharp Kama which he can control telekinetically. This was also evident as Gyutaro could merge his body with Daki's.
2nd best Climax scene in all of Demon Slayer, 1st being Akaza's entrance. His music just hit different man. Both were unexpected indeed.

not true. If he didn't give his sister his one eye and support her while also fighting his battle he would've won easily. Even muzan said he would've won if it wasn't for his sister. Gyutaro is stronger than most pillars 1v1.

And if she wasn't there at all, Gyutaro would literallyy be against 4 hashira level demon slayers at one. NO way out of this one, I'm afraid.
Muzan only said Daki held Gyutaro back because he's petty and arrogant. In the fight, we clearly see that Daki's presence gives Gyutaro an advantage, as she actually helps hold two people back, and throughout the fight, he's using the eye he gave her to watch from a distance and dodge Tengen's attacks more easily. If he hadn't given it to her, he would have also been at disadvantage.
@@aggramone Some Hashira wouldn't even give Gyutaro an opportunity to poison them. There's a reason Tengen was poisoned *and* at disadvantage, and it's because he's canonically one of the weakest Hashira, perhaps even weaker than Rengoku. He was luck he was resistant to the poison, otherwise it would have been game over.
Other Hashira, like Muichiro, Giyu, etc. Could have fought without getting injured by the scythes. The rule that it takes more than one Hashira to beat an upper moon is only true for Upper Moons 3, 2, 1, and maybe 4. Well, at least it takes more than one average hashira (for example Tengen who isn't as talented as the others) to beat the weaker upper moons.
@@earlgrey7791 you do realize he was controlling both his body and dakis body at the same time. He was multitasking while fighting uzui. I mean daki and gyutaro killed 22 hashiras together. If he just let them kill his sister and give his full attention to fighting tengen he would kill him fast. And you call zenitsu and inouske hashira level when they aren't even hashira level at the end of series (maybe zenitsu barely). I mean there's a reason upper moons haven't changed for centuries. And even if all 4 fought gyutaro at once if he isn't multitasking he wins easily, only uzui can react to his attacks, as soon as he recovered from the poison he was gonna kill tanjiro. That was less than 4 seconds.

I love this scene from the manga since it brought the realization to me that there is a reason why they are upper moon 6 and daki is not the reason
I think people also tend to deviate from the fact that both Daki and Gyutaro constitute the Upper Moon 6. It's not just Daki nor is it just Gyutaro. Gyutaro takes up the majority of the seat because he is obviously more powerful than Daki and it doesn't mean Daki is just a "fake" Upper 12. They both are the real Upper Moon 6.
Muzan also considers Daki as a "special" demon, because Daki racks up so much money for Muzan, that's why he showers her with praise.

honestly this was by far my favorite arc that they animated. i was so looking forward to them animating Gyutaro’s entrance & i love it
Honestly when i first seen this, i didn't even think like these reactors like "he was inside her?!" i simply had my jaw dropped and thought "The elder brother is the REAL upper 6. Shit just got real.".
This was such a cool gimmick for a character. Being essentially a 2 for 1. Never seen it coming and seeing just how massive the gap is between Daki and Gyutaro. Seeing Daki pissed off at first was insane had me like "Ayo this girl means business!" as she literally annihilates the city area but then when Gyutaro showed up...just his presence shifted the entire vibe of the episode. His voice. His physical features. Hell even the way he STILL remained a big brother to her and was taking care of her regardless of being a demon. Such a cool character honestly.

Yeah, I knew about Gyutaro and Daki slightly from that manga, but I wanted to wait to be fully surprised by the anime. But while watching, I kept thinking, "Come on. Where's Gyutaro? Where's Gyutaro? Why would he just sit back while his beloved little sister is in danger?" When she started crying, I thought, "Okay, maybe her crying will summon him?" (I didn't really laugh just cuz it was the first time she acted 'her age' since she was human)
And then my reaction was basically the same as these TH-camrs when I realized that they shared the same body.

This arc was one of my absolute favorites when I was reading the manga and I was so excited to see it animated. I was not disappointed!
These characters are literally the second thing I’ve seen that got me interested in demon slayer, I don’t watch anime but this looks like a banger. Sadly i already had a bit spoiled for me but I’m still gonna start watching. The death of those two had me cryin and I don’t even know their story. They just remind me of my sister and i, we go at eachothers throats all the time and yet i love her with all my heart, so their deaths really hit me for that reason alone.

I mean if upper moon 3 could almost be killed by rengoku then daki shouldn't be a match but then when gyutaro came i was like holy shit he is just six? That's when i truly realize how easy akaza must have gone on rengoku for him to survive that long
Fun fact: gyutaro didn't want to become a upper moon he just become a demon to protect daki only if she's in a life threating situation so he decided to become her shadow he even gave her a third eye to monitor her that's why he only came out when daki's head was cut off and not her and tanjiro's battle

The story between these siblings was really well done, what's even more amazing about it was the comparison between Gyotaru/Dari to Tanjito/Nezuko, it showcases what could have happened to both parties if their chosen paths was somehow switched.
