Back in the 90s when my daughter was in high school, she used to get so discouraged because she was blond and her hair was thin and very fine. She was embarrassed about her appearance. One day I found one of these buns in the drugstore and it was a perfect color match for her hair. The moment she put it on her life changed. She felt confident and pretty. I was so grateful to have found such an easy fix!!!!

I'm homebound, but my daughter is getting married in June. I wanted so bad to fix my hair differently. I can do this! I love it. I'm going to save this video so I can refer back to it. Get early and have the person that trims hair or color work with the messy bun. Have that person help you day of wedding. Wedding pictures are treasured for a lifetime. Congratulations.

The first time I found your channel I was looking for tips and wig reviews to help my mom out who is now 77 and has gone through a gauntlet of health issues due to a rare illness , but the most devastating issue for her as a woman was an auto immune reaction that suddenly caused her pretty hair to fall out in 2014 . I am a barber/ stylist amongst other ventures and when that happened for her I was scrambling to find some solutions. Since then I check in just because I enjoy your channel , daily experiences , your thoughtful take on life and anything ( style , makeup advice ) that may help our mom feel a little better . Also worry when I hear about the next big hurricane thinking are they out of the path ?
I have a friend who is a lovely , emotionally intelligent , savvy and great sense of humour, nurse . Who looks as though she could be your sister , she is in her 60’s and I’m thinking she going to look as lovely as you in her 70’s and beyond.

When I was growing up, my mom, aunt, and grandmother had 'wiglets' and 'falls' they used all the time for special occasions. It was so much fun. We also used to "frost" each other's hair by pulling the hair through the cap and bleaching the bejesus out of it!
This was fun; your least favorite piece I loved the most - the one you used at the end!

You are absolutely stunning! This video brought back a happy memory from 15 or so years ago. Mom and I found ourselves in a local wig shop and had so much fun trying different hair pieces! She was thrilled with the hair band and did wear a couple together. My favorite was the short ponytail attached to a hair clip. I wore it upside down on my own knubby tail for a shorter but fuller look! I loved that thing and took it to my hairdresser to have my hair colored to match it better. Like you, I wore it high on my head with whispy bangs. Also a fan of big hair and so is my husband. Thank you for the great ideas. May have to invest in a couple pieces.

Your content is educational and inspiring with worlds of options pointed out that gets the creative mind flowing on a subject that can be so stressful and depressing for so many of us who feel that for whatever reason applies our options are so limited that we're stuck with styles that oppress rather than giving us the confidence that is so key and so important to good mental health.
I don't believe in tearing others down in order to prop people up, but I have to say that trying to learn from self absorbed, narcissistic young people who are more interested in how beautiful They look than actually helping others is about 90% of what is out there. They're talking to their own image rather than focusing on how they can make the subject matter accessable to the audience by putting themselves in the layman's position.
I didn't know how desperately I needed someone with your intuitive teaching capabilities until I found you and I'm so elated that I have!

The last one looks great. I have about 6 of these hair pieces and they are great , especially in the summer or a bad hair day, it is so easy and it looks like you just got your hair done !

I just found you this afternoon and I am so thankful! In February 2020 I went to the salon and got my 6 week hair cut, 2 weeks later our area was quarantined for Covid 19. As we all know, the quarantine lasted longer than we expected and all salons were closed so I would let my hair grow until they opened again which turned out to be 8 months later. By then it was the middle of fall so I decided to give myself a "clean-up" trim and let it continue to grow to help keep my neck warm through our cold northern winter, I'd just get it cut short again come summer '21 and hot weather. Well, before I could get my hair cut for summer '21 I was getting my hair off my neck on warm spring days by putting it up in different styles (including my fake curly bun) and I really liked it so I still didn't get my hair cut, I just put it up in different ways all summer! Fall '21...hair now just past my shoulders...I might as well do the "keep the neck warm" routine again. Spring '22...I really liked doing my hair the different ways last summer so I still didn't get my hair cut! Fall '22...yep, I will do the "keep the neck warm" routine again for the winter. January '23...enough is enough, my hair is to the middle of my back and it rolls up with the seat belt when I go to get out of the car, I get my hair pulled when I lean back in a chair and a good puff of wind and I am eating hair. The hair has to go come spring '23 and I will donate my cut-off hair for hair pieces for cancer patients! Only thing is I still want to wear my fake curly bun sometimes and how am I going to do that with my short hair? Now I know!! THANK YOU. THANK YOU, THANK YOU PATTI!!! (And I have subscribed!)

Rock Star Patti, my hair is quite long and I wear those curly hair pieces too! I like to pin them into my rubber banded hair with clear plastic big hair pins from Sally’s. My little gma used this same type of hair pins to secure her long-hair bun. She had been a Gibson Girl and her hair just naturally went into the Gibson updo!

I'd like to share something fun. My mom was homebound and living with me. She was 93. Her hair was getting long and I asked if she'd like me to get her friend to come cut it. She said no, she's kind of liking it longer. I told her pretty soon it will be long enough to put in a bun. In all seriousness, she said buns are for old ladies. 😂 She had a great attitude.
