You never should have gotten your commander back for free after blowing up Grasp of Fate it’s a replacement effect. You chose to put it in the command zone therefore you have to pay the commander tax again to get it back. If you wanted it back for free you had to actually put it under the Grasp of Fate.
Hasn't the rulings for grasp of fate changed? I'm not 100% sure, but I think this changed when they revised the rules for commander being exiled and dying a few years ago. It would technically become exiled now and then be put into the command zone. I don't believe grasp of fate could still track it.
Yeah, when they changed the rules so that commanders "die", it also changed the way effects like grasp of fate works. Since the players now choose where the commander stays after it changes zones.
Thank you that was driving me crazy as it was such a huge and important misplay. You have to choose to keep it in exile to take advantage of it coming back when grasp leaves, not just get it back either way. Not sure how they thought it could possibly work like that.
I have a feeling that Anikthea was not made for enchantress... I'm starting to think she's only on enchantress colors, but she works better with self mill and graveyard tutoring.
Fun game as always. I'm not gonna lie though, I don't quite understand Kyle's threat assessment just leaving you alone and going for the others the whole midgame.
Not that it probably matters much, but both Kyle and you missed the 2 lifegain from Omen of the Sun on its etb. Main reason I know that is because it pulls triple duty in my cube supporting enchantment, token, and lifegain strategies haha
FIRST! Zhulodok & the Eldrazi gang are pure GAS! Easy to abuse artifacts and storm or explode. Kyle kept picking on the slivers and planeswalker decks when it was clear from turn 1 BK was the threat so that was a little confusing… Otherwise enjoyed the game as usual gents.
Hate to see my ol' sliver boys beat down so bad. That gravemother really wants to do some interesting things. But happy to see Eldrazi taking it. I see some cards I need for my Unbound

Question on having gilded lotus in the eldrazi deck. It taps for 3 mana of any one color, but colorless isn't a color
A note regarding felidar retreat. If you choose the 1/1 counter option of the landfall trigger his creatures also would've gained vigilance.

Anikthea is a secret populate commander.
These decks, even straight out of the box, are powerful. You cannot let any of them go unchecked.
They are about average, as far as precons these days.
That premium price tag really makes these below average for me.
