Beautiful Irving Berlin tune!
A very great song from Irving Berlin and great arragements. Beautiful, Deanne Durbin her version is also very great, years later. A very great record. This was music, more than today. This is music from all time.
Just outstanding !!! Thanks for psoting this!
a very nice arrangement and a fine vocal. this song was published in 1925 which was the year of my mother's birth....a favorite of hers. i will "always" associate it with her. thank you for this fine post.
Super excellent with very good interesting photos
I will love it -always! Thank you.
Preciosa, romántica, agradable,
Paul Ash also led bands at the McVickers and Oriental Theaters in Chicago and the Paramount Theater in NY. The Paramount was the same theater where Benny Goodman, who had played in Ash's orchestra as a youngster, had bobby soxers dancing in the aisles in the 1930s.
Paul Ash was a very popular bandleader in the 1920s and 1930s. He led large orchestras that provided music for silent films and then concerts in between movies in large movie theaters such as the Granada in San Francisco, Roxy in New York, and another in Chicago His orchestra made many popular recordings. He was respected by many of the black and white jazz musicians in Chicago in the 1920s
I'll be loving you always
With a love that's true always.
When the things you've planned
Need a helping hand,
I will understand always.
Always.
Days may not be fair always,
That's when Ill be there always.
Not for just an hour,
Not for just a day,
Not for just a year,
But always.
Leonard Cohen has new rendition of this beauiful song. Thank you, Mr. Berlin.
