I watched Shane Waldron's play calling for the last 3 years in Seattle and (eventually) Chicago will realize what Seahawk fans already know. He's no Sean McVay. Came off his staff, but just doesn't have that "it" factor. Very little pre-snap motion, doesn't put the defense on it's heels in any meaningful way... just not very imaginative. Jayden Daniels is performing great, but part of that is he's got a proven QB developer and play caller in Kliff Kingsbury. He puts his players in a position to show their talent way better than Waldron does. With 3 good teams in their division, the Bears are going to be lucky to finish 8-9 with this coaching staff.
Two games ago, the media loved the Bears. Two losses and now the Bears are ‘in trouble’. Development of a rookie QB is not linear - Jayden Daniels will go through difficult times soon. Bears just need time.
DJ Moore gave up on that play. I felt bad when Caleb was looking down the field looking for a shot after escaping a scramble. DJ Moore is a prima Donna baby
What were the Bears really expecting this year? They were not a great team for awhile, they just chased out their touted young starting QB, and now are depending upon a rookie QB... Your division is stacked and gotten better so I don't see how you could expect to somehow be leading this division. Williams is going to take a few years to develop. He is playing well and you are at .500. That is not too bad when you take everything into consideration.
For any realistic bear fan, we knew it was going to be tough season to go too the playoffs this season due to the strength of our division, the uncertainty surrounding our oline and OC, and the fact that our starting quarterback as talented as he is…is still a rookie. I know that making it to the playoffs to give your self a chance is always what matters to all fans, but you got to be a realist and see the brightness of our future and the improvements made even during this season. Our Defense is almost elite when healthy, we have a good running back room, three elite receivers and tight end, and a future all pro punter. We have to address the oline in the offseason, and while Waldron has underperformed most of the season, I’d say take one more year to see if his offense works with better offensive lineman. Look Eberflus has built up a great defensive unit without a lot of known names. At the end of the day, I don’t know what these fans nowadays are thinking, but the identity of the bears has always been suffocating and ruthless defensive play. Are you, the fans ready to have a terrible defense just for a chance of our offense getting better? Either way what happens down the stretch will determine what happens next. The only way I can say that Matt should get fired is if he loses every game down the stretch or loses to all our rivals.
The problem is the way we lose. Like if we were playin decent and just losing that would be ok. But Caleb is getting killed, there’s mind boggling play calls in the red zone and we’re rushing 3 with a spy on a Hail Mary play
How Caleb’s been playing I wouldn’t be surprised if we do lose.
I swear this is exactly how Mitch and Justin narratives started that ended up destroying them.
These 2 have great on air chemistry , the best of PFT…

They need a new coach also.
Been giving them time since 85

Bears beat the Jaguars and Panthers on those two games. Bears are vastly overrated and overhyped
Let’s go cardinals!!! WIPED THAT SMIRK OFF CALEB WILLIAMS FACE💅😂

As a Panthers fan that's why I had no issue with them getting rid of him
It's not caleb is fault he's getting killed terrible offensive line terrible coaching
He has lost the locker room
looks like the Bears are about to ruin another young QB
Bears have not won a road game on a Sunday since 2021 so yes. Bears suck
