- This Yamaha Pacifica guitar is getting a new Graphtec XL nut as well as a Graphtec string tree. I also changed the pickups from stock to a set of DiMarzio's. I show you the step-by-step profess that I used for this nut replacement - the process can be applied to most electric guitars, as well. Enjoy the video!

Wish I could paint as well😁
Hey i replaced my nut with a graph tech...i grind it down lil more that i wanted how ever i got it to the correct height using the music normad nut height gauges.....i still have an issue with it goin out of tune at the G sting and A (as before) when i use the bar .Its a HArley benton fusion new.Im waiting on some nut sauce to see it that helps....
Angle the back of the nut slots on those strings towards the tuning posts slightly, that might prevent the string from pinching
@@ManotickGuitarTech thx
Excellent…I always learn something new watching your videos 👍
so even thou the graph teck was slotted y did you re slot it???
The slots on the graphtec are not the final dimensions or depths- you need to file them.
Thanks again for a great lesson. What model number groo bar kit were you using?
They sell them in sets for guitars specifically- I put a link in the video description
What tusq model you used here, im thinking to change mine too since the high E and B are making some fret wah and its annoying, ive checked the fret height and neck relief, its fine, just the nut is too low
