Terry Smith and Mickey Finn were Dicklerfitz. Mickey was at his musical best and Terry was his apparently unflappable friend and companion. Together they attracted a big following and worthwhile musicians from all over came to play with them. It seemed to me that both were critical of artists who sought attention rather than proved their worth. Both great people, this is a valuable recording.

I lived in Galway from 71-75.always loved their fantastic music.Bottled for them many times when they were busking on Shop St.gave them lifts in my Mini van and gave them as much support as possible.Mickey and Sayre Took up the lease on our rented house in St Brendans Ave [Also Known as Sickeen Ave ] as 3 pubs backed onto it Terry had the most beautiful voice I ever heard and was one of the nicest man I had ever the privilage I ever had to meet.
This is bringing me back Jonny🎉 I had heard it before from one of your links. Its 👍 great to have a permanent record of them both ❤. it's a wonder/pity😢 the record companies of; Claddagh / 'Tansatlantic'/or 'Topic didn't give them a recording contract😢
I remember when Micky went on tour in Brittany. He certainly shows here his unique and individual style of playing skills on the fiddle. Its probably the best recording made in so far others were made in the bars with a lot of background noise. This is a class recording. Mickey looked mighty in these photos. Great one Johnny.
Lovely to hear this this. Brings back memories of the many times I saw them play in Galway in the 70.
