As a Liverpool fan I think it’s smart what we have done. Unpopular opinion I know, but we have change a lot with manager and coaching staff. Bringing players in would be too much of a change and transition. Keep the group together as it’s still a decent team to challenge.

Because of successful recruitment and at large keeping their players, LFC has one of the most deep squads if not the deepest. City keeps getting in a situation where people want to move on, despite the squad is one of the smallest in the league and they are successful. Utd keeps adding players, while regressing. Chelsea is a complete mess. Other teams lose key players and spend to replace them. LFC is very stable, and while some will argue they are frugal, they very rarely if ever make a bad signing. Arsenal buy players but in areas where they have at large failed their recruitment.

I think for me it’s clear what’s happened, Slot agreed to this situation when they recruited him and Amorim from sporting didn’t, I think there was good indications that Liverpool and the owners had no intentions of sanctioning any major deals this summer. For me the reason is because the owners feel they have borrowed money from the future making the previous signings we have made, so it’s just catching up with the finances, both because they want a return on that investment somehow (whether that’s by saving money on not making any transfers or success on the pitch) and because of the new financial restrictions clubs have. Its clear we need at least a couple additions but nothing will be done about that unless they have to, which I’m sure they want to see if they have to under slot or if he can do more with what he has than klopp could.

We’re a world class dm and another decent CB away from arguably having the best team in the league but without those 2 signings we’re still the third best in the league so if top 4 is the goal why invest so much this season when we could let slot settle in and find his players then make improvements next summer
The disrespect on Endo is real . Come on .. he came in last season and did an amazing job in my opinion given the circumstances . A total professional and although I would like another signing for a DM , we have very good options in the squad . Bajcetic , Endo , Mac10 , Jones , Gravenberch can all play there .
Klopp's squad is still amazing and it only needs a few touch ups . Slot is still assessing the squad and will sign a player when he feels is required . There's no pressure to do so..
If the Liverpool squad is that good, how did they missed out on so many titles last season? Wouldn't it make sense to strengthen the team with just that few signings to help achieve what was not done last season, especially when all the competitors are strengthening.
We signed 4 midfielders last summer because we released/sold 5 midfielders.
People, a manager signs players, Slot has only worked with the players for only a few weeks, he needs to identify areas and players he needs, after watching then play at least 10 prem games. I quite like what he did with Quansa, he identified where we were laking, fixed it with a better player in Konate, No need for signing a new player for that! Trent has Bradley as cover, Robo has Tsimikas as cover, why would you want 3 players for left back? Get real.
Liverpool have the same problem at the beginning of seasson....the problem is everyone will talk about lack of signning...... Liverpool downfall..in mid seasson people will start talking about quadruple...

Given that Anfield is the most intimidating places in the league, even mediocre lfc teams win most games. That said, they have won 1 PL title. Is it a bigger achievement to win 6 PL trophies at the "emptyhad" or 1 at Anfield? Maybe LFC is more bark than bite I'd wager.
