Love that you guys are doing these Quickies videos! Super fun. This might be my lack of experience talking here But is it really a quickie when it's a full half hour?
I'm definitely pushing the definition of "quickie" at this point but it's still a third of the runtime of a typical Commander Clash episode. The series is new so I'm still experimenting with it.
@@MTGGoldfishCommander That's totally fair, especially with how much happened in the game. Maybe you can make an in-between category for these slight longer edits of games. Like an Extended Quickie sort of deal?
@@MTGGoldfishCommander Compared to the original length this is definitely a quickie. Just like full games of commander can go long, so can a quickie! I'd rather the extra time to be able to hear the banter, anyway.
It's definitely not an easy deck; playing traditional reactionary control in edh is daunting. Tbh I'm still not quite there (evident from the video). It is really hard to know when to cast spells, but it really helps with learning threat priority
Is Questing Beast in Yohaan's deck just for the the card / Vigilance / Deathtouch? I ask because I've personally made the mistake of thinking that would give Kathril haste but haste is not one of its keywords.
Have you read the card, if so do ut again because it already jas new abilities. The card is a block of text and brings 2 keywords to boot, it also gives the player that cast Teferis Protection a feeling of despair.
@@Tirvops If damage can't be prevented, Teferi's Protection still stops the affected player's life total from changing. But they can die to infect or commander damage.
its impressive how much that one fortell influenced the game and dissuaded people from casting commanders in fear of skipping their turn for ben paying one mana
When John attacks ben and the damage also goes to tomer because of sakisha why did tomer block? It's just the damage going to tomer not the attackers so blocking wouldn't be an option right?
It trickie making a quickie for commander. I'll say this the first few quickies with the voiceover felt very dry for me, and was about to abendon the series. I kind of watch commander games for the banter not just the plays, and 2 hour games are a big commitment at times. I kind of like this balance. I get the feel of the game, you can even leave in a few good non gameplay moments in. I really like this new approach :) And while half an hour is not a strictly a quickie I think cutting anything more would just feel robotic like somebody reading out the game log. But keep experimenting.
One thing I think you could do to speed up editing is skip out land drops. Only fixate on them if it's a utility land or the player is missing land drops.
Extort is a weird one. The white symbol is part of the reminder text, not the card's (oracle) text, so it's legal in Mono Black decks. It's a confusing special case.
Love this video format. You shorted it but kept in some reactions and jokes. Only thing I didn't understand about the mudstah format at the opening. You can save a minute by skipping the opening hands. Not super relevant to the gameplay
Keep the quickies coming!
Giggety
It was an absolute pleasure to play with this group and I'm hoping we get to do it again soon!
I like hearing everyone's voice. It's more reminiscent of the games I play!
I really like this style. Banter is one of the more fun aspects of commander imo
Fun cardboard, great banter. :)
Thanks for the quickie! Keep it up!

This video format rocks! Good job Tomer!
Great game! I love that Trafalgar Law and Chopper playmat!!
Extremely entertaining Video, including the banter definitely benefits the viewing experience, at least for me. Keep up the great work!! :)
I appreciate the additional banter
Vampiric Tutor for a land. Feels bad man
This is by far my preferred style of video. Perfect time and I like to hear the banter
Definitely like these banter is great as it shows you were enjoying the game as well , liking this format.
Im intersted in kathrill, cause i also wanted to do something else then selfmill into reanimate.
Btw im playing it with cycle 😊
This was fun! Liked hearing the bants, the decks seemed fun, love seeing Grim Flayer ("how is this Bob so good?!" jeez I wonder :P ). Awesome :)
Definitely like these better with the banter included, feels more organic.
Anything under 30 mins is good for me! Thanks Tomer
Loving these quickies!!!
What an amazing game. Love the life banters.
My newest Commander is Noyaan Dar. I've only played one game with it so far and it didn't go so well, so it's cool to see it do its thing.
It's neat to use Hour of Revelation as a Plague Wind.
It's definitely not an easy deck; playing traditional reactionary control in edh is daunting. Tbh I'm still not quite there (evident from the video). It is really hard to know when to cast spells, but it really helps with learning threat priority
That was some really smooth editing. Im sure it took forever. Really enjoyed watching 😊
Really really good! I'm sure this took a sec to edit but I loved the style
That final was marvelous.
This video form is the way to go!
Webcam games are so hard to watch, but I appreciate supporting the format for those who like them.
Love this format!
Love these quickies
It was lots of fun playing with you guys! Hope we can do it again!!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

gotta love a quickie.
Let me speak for a lot of time pressed people; we love quick, well edited commander games! 👏🏼

The goldfish merch link in the description is 404ing
Is it working now? Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
@@MTGGoldfishCommander yeah you got it
I think 20 minutes is my normal upper limit for quickies; I know it is a balance for each video so keep experimenting.
Looks like it was a fun match.
its impressive how much that one fortell influenced the game and dissuaded people from casting commanders in fear of skipping their turn for ben paying one mana
Banter is like 2/3 of the reason I watch. That plus quirky, interesting deck building - which feels like a hallmark of the Goldfish community.
When John attacks ben and the damage also goes to tomer because of sakisha why did tomer block? It's just the damage going to tomer not the attackers so blocking wouldn't be an option right?
I believe he attacked both of them that turn
The Adeline makes 1/1 tokens that attack each player, so Yohaan and Tomer both chump blocked theirs

Awesome video, awesome guests! Next time don’t settle for video quality like John’s, that really bothered me.
you don't know how much this made me laugh
poor ben, he really bamboozled himself with that flood of tears
he also definitely should have targeted bob with mystic reflection, just for the memes
How does one apply to play?
Would LOVE to be a part of this!
Yohaan's playmat is 10/10
Enjoying this alot
i think the last training trigger was mistake. he already was 3/3
I have a sick Tana and krark paper deck that u should play also easily able to be a budget deck and keep all the cool interaction
Love that Kairi playmat

9:36 "Sounds good, papi."
AGHHHH MY WIFE'S DECK, NOYAN DAR!
YES FINALLY GETTING SOME REP
this was some goood content
0:55 Yohaan could basically be playing modern with that starting hand 😂 (minus gisela)
I’ll order 1 quickie please 🙄
TW left tapping
i need to know where yohaans paymat came from so badly!!!!!
Don't ever invite Yahaan back. I mean... who taps left? IRL psychopaths that's who
I see people running Crypt Ghast in mono black even though it's got white in its color identity. Is that just a house rule?
Extort is a weird one. The white symbol is part of the reminder text, not the card's (oracle) text, so it's legal in Mono Black decks. It's a confusing special case.
@@MTGGoldfishCommander wooooooooah what!? I was today years old
I like it. Less Tomer, more other people
Noyan lives!!
keep short 1uickie commens this most off time I have love it

You could also show them all briefly, but not read them aloud. People who are interested could pause and read them.
My Saskia deck is nowhere that good lol
