I actually enjoyed every game of this league bar the ones with Matt playing. Between him being a hopeless rules lawyer (only bringing up/knowing rules that benefits him, while "forgetting" rules with detriment), his consistent literal cheating (see previous games and comments), and the fact that he played a power team against a league of low Armour noobs just makes me think that he's a classic overly competitive power gamer, and I don't even need to check to see if we won or not, because it really doesn't matter. Not to mention the head-to-head, 3 round Semi-Final style that completely complements a hard-hitting team like Chaos, just for that extra advantage. All the other guys, Norse, D. Elves and Lizardmen seemed to have fun and enjoy their games (never even got to see the Humans, but who picks Humans and plans on winning, really). Matt is always all business, and consistently gripes about his "bad rolls" and then wins the game anyway. I didn't even bother watching this game after the Semi-Finals, because I just couldn't tolerate the thought of watching another hour of Dark Elves bumbling around and getting punched by Chaos. And locking half the games, as well as the outcome behind a paywall, in this day and age? I guarantee you probably would have gotten enough views to make it worth your while if you had have put the entire league up, instead of this mish mash.
Superb game. Has the ability to put grown men on their knees! Played the 3rd edition about 15 years ago before the wife and kids came along. Deffo getting back into it now, cheers men 👍
7:50 acording to the rules not icluding the almenac becus I have not red it so I dont know if the almenac or faq fixes it but in the orginal rules illegal procedure is clasefied as "a play is considerd to be moving a player one or more squares, standing up a player or rolling the dice during your turn" pg 28
Guys at the end of the year make a video of highlights of every narrative campaign/path to glory/blood bowl ... you did this year and who won in those campaign/path to glory/blood bowl ...
One thing about people that are new to the game is that they get too upset when a player gets injured on an agility team. They fail to realize their full potential of dodging and resort to blocking instead, and they don't simply accept the fact that some players will get hurt. This coming from a skaven player himself.
There's a couple of options. One is to not play multiple games but to have a single big final with winner takes all. (The winnings tables provide extra cash and playing multiple games as finals amplifies cash disparity in crowns). Alternatively you have a recovery game option which allows the players to challenge another team in the league. This also means that the other league teams have almost equal chances to earn Star Player Points. I'm probably not the best one to explain the logic behind it tbh but it amplifies fouling effectiveness and casualty effectiveness as those can have a cross game effect more than TDs can. There might be a thread on Talkfantasyfootball that explains it better. :)
I can see how that would be the case, especially if you were really trying to do a longer term league. Since we just did a quick one I wasn't too worried about any of that happening.
Cool cool. It's something I remember from the league rules as I had to have the reason explained to me years ago when my Wood Elves were trying play the same team a few times. I believe Undead were particularly bad as they were bashy, could play fast but also had cheap throwaway players like Zombies. Dirty players makes those Zombies extra strong if you have some multi game planning ability. :)
Blood Bowl 5th Edition is coming out! Please review it and see if it's worth buying! We can all finally play without having to look on ebay or find 3rd party ones!
Rob Lock I'm planning on building an orc stadium, loads of palisade walls and some seating galaries for home and away. minis to represent fans can show the teams fame/fan factor. a vip booth for a warboss and working floodlights are also on the drawing board
in the blood bowl2 video game you get a +2spp when injuring a player by kicking him into the crowd, do you do the same here? and i know you guys wanna play some necromunda :P
i thought it was only when pushed into the crowd that you dont get the spp when causing an injury but when punched you still roll the injury after breaking armour before rolling the injury inflicted by the crowd?

Frenzy just makes you not be able to choose not to follow up. Fend doesn't allow you to follow up, so it does stop Frenzy. You don't choose not to, you just can't.

Hmm, what ruleset are these guys using. I thought they use LBR6 which allowes Dark Elves to have 2 Witch Elves in the roster...
I think they are using LRB6 and they made a mistake. Even LRB5 has 2 witches in a Dark Elf team.

Actually you don't. You only get it if you do the injury, on both the video game and in the tabletop game.
